He had no Arbitration rights Remember Paul Kariya takes a really cheap deal to go to Col with Selänne and he signed a 1.2million dollar contract even though his he could have gotten 10million read it up on wikipedia. At the end of this contract and even capfriendly doesn't know this he will be a UFA You are so pompous lol. It was a stupid move by the player. If he gets injured he is screwed. Pretty simple really.
