That new US tv deal will boost team salaries up. This could be a bargain deal if he continues to progress and the league salaries skyrocket. Most of the RFA's want short term deals so they can cash in after the tv deal is complete.

NUCKER67
And Bo makes $5.5. Keller isn't that good and Chayka isn't that smart. 1 1
Tre Mac
Too rich for my blood. Are hockey GM's really this daft of are they just spineless? 2
N7Nucks
Makes the White deal look a bit better. Does the rest of the RFAs no favours. He has what, 35 career goals? He’s still super young but you are hoping for a lot here.
RowdyCanuck
He will looks great on Mathews wing in a few years 1
D.B Cooper
Damn. If Keller gets that, what is Boeser gonna get?
Provost
Well, Boeser is better than Keller. That puts a floor on what he would get for a max term deal. Seems like an overpayment to me, but hey that could be the market. Maybe more specifically a risk rather than overpayment. If you believe Keller as a rookie with lots of upside, it is fine as he is a Boeser comparable. If you think his sophomore season may indicate less upside, then it is a risky deal locking him up at that price tag for so many years. aGENT
On one hand, that's a lot of chicken counting, on the other hand assuming said chickens work out, on an EIGHT year deal, that's a solid price. All depends on the chickens...
