I feel Jake is the kind of player who would do better moving away from his home town. He knows too many people in Vancouver and Abbotsford. He likes to party and when he does he buys drinks for everyone in his group. I have heard this first hand. I feel like his definition of success is to play in the NHL and be a popular guy within his social circle. He has achieved that.

Petterssons definition of success is to be the best hockey player to ever live. He is never satisfied. Two NHL hockey players with different perspectives.

Jake will train just enough to stay relevant on our team and he will use his physical advantages as a short cut

I think it would do him good to play in another city and not be around all his Vancouver friends.

He would have been a 20 goal last year, if healthy.  Thanks a lot Bin Laden

Maybe, maybe not. He slumped that last half of the season injury or not.

The more important thing for him is consistency for 82 games which hopefully he show's us this year.

Alright! Good morning CDC, got my coffee and my seat, let's bring on Day 3!

Expecting a good tempo from group A again today, interested to see who is in it.

Marky and DiPietro out with the goalie coaches today.

DiPietro hasn't looked bad this camp, haven't noticed him alot but he isn't as small as I thought.

I was wondering about MD, there really hadn't been any comment on him, he's really flown under the radar all off season too

No argument here, but everyone slumped down the stretch, Petey too.  There were just too many injuries to cover.

Agree there, I hope he can pick up like he did starting last season, and whether its a deeper lineup or bringing his game every game he has the potential to easily hit 20. Maybe 25

The guy is coming off a solid season on a very cheap deal for what he brings.  The media morons seize on one quote and the legions of disgusting people follow like sheep.

This is key.  People need to realize that he can still bring a dimension to the team that other teams don’t have.  We need to set our expectations that Jake is a third liner on this team that can bring a cannon of a shot, hit like a truck and skate faster than most.  We have the top 6 depth we need for the next 4 years and even more when Pods and Hogs join in 1-2.  Just settle in with Jake as a unique talent on the third line and enjoy that we have more depth than I’ve ever seen on this team.

Kinda stinks that there are no streams of the Canucks camp (someone can correct me if I am wrong). Detroit is streaming their camp on their youtube, with commentary no less. I'd take just the on ice audio for the Canucks (sticks, skates etc).

Given the behaviour in this thread, it's probably good that they don't.
