It's been a slog, watching the Canucks be manhandled and outpaced by those teams, but now that the Canucks are the younger, faster, and stronger team, those California trips are going to be fun. 1 1 2

I did wring my hands a bit reading that But yeah, those California trips were some of the most absolute demoralizing of times during the nadir of the rebuild. With LA and Anaheim being firmly behind the Canucks on paper, dis goin be good. 2

The way those three teams used their size to wear Vancouver down was hard to watch, especially when douchenozzles like Getzlaf would get away with injuring players. I'm going to enjoy watching that assclown suffer. Hahahaha. 3 5
Popular Post Aladeen
Wow I am surprised he didn't hang em up. He looked like he was skating in slow motion in the playoffs. Patrick Marleau's agent, Pat Brisson, told Sportnet's Elliotte Friedman that his client does not fit with the Sharks right now. Marleau will pursue other playing opportunities in the NHL. Marleau, who turns 40 on Sept. 15, spent the first 19 years of his NHL career in San Jose. He played the last two years with the Toronto Maple Leafs, and was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes this offseason. The former Sharks star moved back to California this offseason and made his wish to return to San Jose known. Shortly after being traded to the Hurricanes, Marleau was bought out, opening more speculation he could wear teal again this coming season. Clearly, the Sharks had other plans. [RELATED: Why Sharks should, shouldn't retire Marleau's jersey first] Marleau was a three-time All-Star with San Jose, but scored just 37 points last year, his lowest total in a full season since he was a rookie. Everyone loves a good reunion story, but this one simply didn't make much sense. JM_
Man if he really cared he would have taken 1 mil and saved the other mil for Marleau. #oldmancap
Master Mind
Making twice as much as Labanc. Not surprised to see him return. A bit surprised they wouldn't go for Marleau. They have an opening on the 2nd line, and Marleau seems like an upgrade over their other options.
