Nuxfanabroad
Mid-season, & they get 2 or 3 D injured. Retain big on Tanev & trade him for the 1st.(one that Canes miss). I've got a feeling this imbalanced outfit might crash out spectacularly.

The Great Canucks
Leafs are still garbage. Screw them! They are the definition of overrated. I can't believe people are actually praising Dubas. I hope the laffs suffer for all eternity!

Not many glaring holes anymore after re-upping Marner and adding Barrie, Muzzin, and Ceci. how do you figure that to be true ? who is gonna play on the 3rd and fourth lines and 5 and 6 dman? who is gonna be on the pk ? oh wait it's the leaf's they still blow

*Buzzsaw*
Personally I think the Dumba$$ and the Laffs only way out of this is to trade Wee Willie for prospects AND retain some of his CAP.

BlueDragon23
Laffs are trash. They started all this nonsense in RFA with Matthews/Nylander contracts etc. I hope they fail spectacularly.
Elias Pettersson
So by signing this deal it puts the Leafs over the cap by $13,365,199. However they have 4 players on LTIR for a total of $13,663,333. So they will be under the cap on opening day by just under $300,000. Talk about cutting it close. No wonder they had to get Marner under $11 million. They are screwed if they get any injuries. Good looking team but very soft and they will have cap issues throughout the year I think. And the Leafs are a one year hit. After this year they will have only one defenceman under contract so they will have to get an entire new defence. Poor Leaf nation... DUMBA$$ has no budget problems... zero concern with spending money... unlike other GM's... his only problem is he is too stupid to figure out basic CAP math.
