Well I'd feel about the same.  If he apologized so be it.  I'm a native bud.  I get to see women dressed up in thongs and head dresses (which is not a gd thing people) every halloween.  I get to see my people plastered all over team logos.  You sell second hand tickets via SCALPING.  So before you attempt to climb up on your soap box let's not pretend you have the moral high ground to do so.

 

If you wanted a genuine discussion you could have started by not calling everyone liberals.

 

I feel this is literally nothing.  It's gross, it's offensive but it's nothing.  I am far more interested in why Scheer will say he is not fit to lead, but 4 days ago accepted the apology of a person making a literal decade worth of racist and homophobic statements.  Why the hypocrisy?  Isn't an apology enough?  I am more interested in why Trudeau can apologize but it's not enough, but Scheer can say well it's the law and that's that as a way to stuff off his statements about gay marriage and abortuions.

 

This is not about who is the shinier turd.  one is the leader one wants to be.  This is about stepping up and showing who can and will lead and while one is an idiot, the other is doing everything they can to prove they're just not fit.

 

This is far less of an issue than someone telling a meeting full of business leaders that he will cut services and that they'll have to simply fudge the truth to the people to do so

This isn't an excuse, but there is a difference here. Trudeau was a fricking idiot to have done this, but his behaviour since has been pretty far from racist. Thats just a fact. Scheer on the other hand has views of intolerance, that he says he wont act on if he's PM. Thats a big difference.

yeah it doesn't sit right with me that Scheer would change marriage laws if he could. But thats his issue.

 

On this topic we need to judge Trudeau without whataboutismisms, on its own merits.

Trudeau's getting hammered right now because he's the current leader. They're going to be extrra tough on him, but I thought he delivered a good message, owning up to his mistakes, basically calling himself a dumba**. Do people forget what the 90s and turn of the millenium was like? It was a politically incorrect time. It wasn't right, but that's the way it was. We as a society have come a long way since, but we're not there yet. I'll bet this Trudeau news leak was better than Viagra for Scheer lol
