He has a particular skill with his shot, but isn't good enough really to make better use of that skill at the NHL level. If someone picks him up and plays him, then kudos to him. His real use in camp was as an example of what not to do. He gets a ring but he doesn't get his name on the cup. Rings are given out by the team so pretty much everybody in the organization gets one.
