Popular Post -Vintage Canuck-
Quote SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Scottsdale police say a disorderly conduct incident involving NHL star and Valley resident Auston Matthews has been forwarded to the City of Scottsdale Prosecutor’s Office for review. Police say they investigated the incident that reportedly took place in May of 2019 when Matthews played a prank on a security officer at an apartment complex. According to a department spokesperson, Matthews saw the guard sitting in a car and decided to jiggle the door handle. Matthews also dropped his pants and exposed his underwear to the guard, according to police. A few days later, the guard filed a report about the incident. Officers were unable to get in touch with Matthews and sent the case to the city prosecutor's office. Court documents show Matthews has a court hearing for disorderly conduct in Scottsdale City Court on Wednesday. Matthews was born in California, but was raised primarily in Arizona where he became a hockey fan while watching the Arizona Coyotes as a child. Matthews was selected first overall in the 2016 NHL Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs. https://www.abc15.com/sports/nhl-star-auston-matthews-being-investigated-for-disorderly-conduct-in-scottsdale 1 17

Popular Post HerrDrFunk
Okay, that's actually kind of hilarious. Not Matthews being charged but the actual incident described. 1 9

DADDYROCK
Sounds like Scottsdale police need some money from a millionaire hockey player. Settle out of court of course and simply put ,more revenue for the police from fines. Edited September 24, 2019 by DADDYROCK 1

Hollywood has taught us that security officers are a joke and to be toyed with but that's not how the real world works. People watch too many movies and are too brainwashed by Hollywood's values. Security officers not only deserve more respect than that, they have a legal right to it. I wasn't there so I don't know what actually happened but if the allegations are true it is an actual offense and just because Matthews is rich and famous he shouldn't automatically get away with it. I'm sick of celebrities thinking that they are above the law and also sick of people who don't have any respect for security unless they are protecting them or their stuff. Go Canucks Go! EternalCanuckFan
While this is hardly the worst thing that the security guard could have been exposed to, it's still a rude thing to do to anyone. Not sure why this security guard was so "lucky" to be the target of the prank. Ultimately for the Leafs, it's probably more a matter of Matthews' maturity and judgment.

Toyotasfan
I wouldn’t be surprised if the security guard was snoozing in his car prior to Mathews jiggling the door handle and exposing himself. It would be a tough prank to pull off if the guy was alert .

Have fun, but don't act like an ass and embarrass your team. 17 years old? Sure. By the time you're getting into your twenties with a good career underway, it's probably time to act like a man not a boy. It was a female security guard. For Chrissake...a woman's out there trying to earn a living at 2 am...leave her alone: Quote According to the police report, a female security guard at a condo complex in Scottsdale made the complaint after she said Matthews and a group of males tried to open her vehicle as she sat inside doing paperwork at 2 a.m. The complainant said she got out her car and confronted Matthews, who she said appeared to be intoxicated. She said Matthews said he thought it would be funny to see how she would respond. The report states that, as Matthews walked away, he dropped his pants, bent over and grabbed his buttocks, though the complainant said he appeared to keep his underwear on. The report says surveillance video shows a male subject walking toward the complex elevators with his pants around his ankles. 1 2
