But maybe it was our team that failed to send that message. We better start working on that soon. Because I can't be the only one who is sick and tired of seeing our players get abused on the ice. Go Canucks Go!

Popular Post combover
Not sure why any player would hit a guy on the numbers 3 feet from the boards. Especially in the preseason. But I’m Not sure why a player would stand three feet from the boards with his back to the play and put himself in such a vulnerable position. He didn’t even appear to look around to see if someone was coming. Hope it’s not serious and more precautionary. Popular Post mj vic
A hit like that shouldn't happen anytime of the year, but preseason!!! Come on that's such a classless act. 3

Can't really use "we'll beat 'em on the scoresheet" as an excuse for the lack of pushback when the score doesn't matter either.
Popular Post VanIsleNuckFan
This is my one knock on Green, this is the culture he wants to create. Its been like this since he's been here. Sometimes we gotta respond coach, how are we building camaraderie on this team without the players standing up for each other!? 1

Regardless of why Boeser had his back to the play (was probably looking for a pass) the onus is on the hitter to ease up when you see the numbers. Shoulda been a 5er, especially since it was pre season with nothing on the line.

Popular Post JM_
I don't believe that this core group of guys have character in every other way but don't care about or won't stand up for their team mates. Bo will get the C and they will work this crap out.
Popular Post How swede it is
This is exactly the kind of hit that Don Cherry talks about. He'd like to see the hitter be able to wrap up the hitte and take them into the boards, without being called for holding. You can still hit the guy but you gotta take him into the boards, not hit him into the boards. 2

Hold the player out until they're not displaying or feeling the symptoms of a concussion. Could be a precautionary few days for Boeser, Fantenberg looks like he got it a lot worse, so he might be a few months.

Popular Post Trebreh
the more i watch it and hear nothing from the league, the angrier i get. like who the f hits a star player from behind right in the numbers in a preseason game?! if Tierney is playing tomorrow, somebody has to get in his face and beat that ass. if MacEwen or Schaller wants to make an impression, going after Tierney tomorrow is a good way to get attention. 2 3

This is the problem I have with how blind side hits are being dealt with The system is creating too much trust that it won't happen and leave themselves vulnerable As much as players are taught to not lay dangerous hits players should be taught even more to not put themselves in those positions 4
