when i heard Craig Button talk about it he made it sound like the linesman was completely in the wrong. However, watching the video makes me think Kane was moreso. He slashed the linesman and wasn't letting up at all. The linesman does not appear to 'manhandle' Kane, rather, he grabs him and they fall. He brings him back up nicely and Kane pushes him a little too aggressively. Do I think he should have the book thrown at him? No. Do I think it should be fined or suspended? Yes.

what a joke should be ten, once again american and California favoritism

Totally agree.  This should not be a judgement call.  Remember when that Calgary player ran over the ref?  The refs need to be protected.   I hope the Referees take a stance here.

Definitely wasn't worth the 20 games Dennis Wideman got, but 5 would of been reasonable, for the carelessness slash and then the push after.

And don't forget Wideman had is reduced to 10 after.

Alomar got only five (delayed too) games for spitting into the face of an Umpire.  Hockey needs to protect the Refs, and not fall into the same gutter of non punishment that MLB did.  Hell what if Rat licked a ref?  What would be that suspension?

MLB umpires are weak imo compared to NHL referees, heck if you look wrong at an MLB umpire they'll kick you out of the game, MLB umpires are a joke. But comparing suspensions with MLB and NHL is a little different, because the amount of games are different an NHL team plays half of what an a MLB team does, so ratio 2:1, so imo this Kane one should of been 5, and I would say 10 in MLB games.

Are people really happy he isn't a Canuck lol

I'd take E. Kane in a heartbeat and never look back. He plays with passion and is offensively gifted.

This a fanbase that praised guys like Burrows and Kesler but wouldn’t want Kane. Please lol. Kane is a beast.

Burke was spitting facts about this situation in the Leafs-Sens 1st intermission. Lineman should’ve stayed out of it, from the start.
