They said that in December. It is nothing new.

I believe they said it wasn’t another concussion which left people to believe he was suffering from post concussion symptoms.

Good to know it has nothing to do with a concussion at all.

No, they said it had nothing to do with a concussion. They said it was concussion like symptoms.

I can't find the exact interview but Benning said this mid December and here is Green saying pretty much the same thing December 12.

Travis Green was a little more forthcoming about Ferland’s status at Thursday’s game day skate, saying that Ferland was seeing specialists as he’s experiencing “symptoms,” but is not in the concussion protocol. It’s safe to say that Ferland’s “symptoms” are related to his concussion, even if the Canucks won’t specify “post-concussion syndrome.”

Well that is basically what I just said which was that he didn’t sustain a concussion but was experiencing “symptoms”.

Nowhere had I seen them say it had nothing to do with his concussion.

The health of injured winger Micheal Ferland, one of Benning’s key free-agent signings last summer, could affect the Canucks’ need to add another player, although the GM emphasized that Ferland’s departure from Tuesday’s 4-1 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs is unrelated to the concussion that had kept him out for five weeks.

“He doesn’t have another concussion; that’s not the problem. We’re hoping to do whatever we need to do from an organizational standpoint to help him get better because I think we’re a better team with him in our lineup. I don’t know how long he’ll be out for, but I think we’ll get him back.”

Not the interview but again it was said from the beginning to not be a concussion but concussion like symptoms.

Benning just said his injury has nothing to do with his concussion.

You’re posting old interviews relating to his concussion.

This was the first time Benning has stated his current injury has nothing to do with his concussion. Meaning it’s not post concussion symptoms that’s keeping him out right now.

I just quoted what he said December 10th which clearly states, if you can read, that this injury is unrelated to his concussion. Then it goes on to say the new injury is not another concussion, and the article doesn't quote it but he also says he is dealing with concussion like symptoms. I Just can't find this transcript. It's meaningless though as the prior two quotes along with the Green quote confirm exactly what I am saying. You just refuse to admit that.

Travis Green mentioned post-game that Tyler Motte's injury doesn't look good.

We have a few young players that can fit in that role. Hope he recovers soon but no need to panic (glad though Beagle is still good to go, that guy really sacrifices his body like no other)

Wonder how fer daddy’s status is.... good opportunity to come back on shallow ice time, I’ve liked schaller this year as well I’m confident that motte can be easily replaced, the way he was holding his arm it looked like collar bone maybe....?

maybe they just activate ferland.

could be. He may go on a conditioning stint in Utica to tho, might be a good idea to get him up to speed there first.

It would be fun to see Bailey called up and inject some new buzz into the 4th line, or I suppose Schaller might be sufficiently motivated to play again. Maybe MacEwan. We finally have a lot of good options.
