Flames are tough to play against, they have one of the best D-cores in the league and have a good mix of skill/size/grit up front. The only question mark is in net, but they have plenty of trade chips to sort that out if Rittich doesn't work out as a starter. I have no idea why he gets so much hate. He's been a really good GM in his tenure. Lucic is looking better this year. Lighter on his feet and he looks like he'll be able to put up some points as long as he keeps his game simple and crashes the net. Brad made moves this summer to address some needs the Flames have. They got lucky with basically their entire team having career years, their goalies aren't even good enough to make a strong AHL team, their top players are cowards who disappear when it matters most, their anthem singer is absolute disgrace to the country with the way he butchers Oh Canada, and their biggest move was bringing an overpaid slug with severe character issues. I mean the visiting team was forced to skate at an incline for the 1st and 3rd periods on their way into the offensive zone... i think it was calgary...?
