Jets are gonna be in real tough if Morrissey is out for a long period of time.

That defense desperately needs help.

Morrissey was practicing in a regular jersey today in Pittsburgh.

As for the Penguins - lower body injury for both.

Looks like they caught a break, they still need help on that back end though.

And that's a rough way for Pittsburgh to start the season. Losing a top 6 c is tough at any time but to start? If they can't stay afloat they could be buried by November or December.

Sutter back to the Pens?

Maybe if it was Sutter for Galchenyuk? We'd probably have to add though. Gally's consistently been a 40-50 point guy. Pittsburgh's also top heavy offensively and giving up a offensive piece like that to plug a hole at 3c where Bjugstad fits doesn't help them considering Bjugstad should be back before Malkin.

What really hurts Pittsburgh if they don't have anyone aside from maybe McCann as a young c to throw into a top six role. Gally's struggled at c in the past. They don't have a replacement for Malkin, most teams wouldn't, but the cost of being higher in the standings and making trades to contend is Pittsburgh's lackluster prospect pool.

Penguins beat writer Josh Yohe writes: "It’s not expected that Jim Rutherford is going to acquire additional forwards for the time being, instead preferring to see how his team adjusts without Malkin and Bjugstad."

Bet'cha Flamer fans are grinding their teeth about now...

They are pretending they don't care, since he didn't do it for them anyways.......and they will get that 3rd rounder if Neal hits 21 goals.

The Flyers have built a rage room.

From their website:  The rage room-style space allows fans and guests a stress-relieving outlet amid all of the game action. Through scheduled sessions that can be reserved in advance, participants wearing protective gear can smash, break, and unleash their rage upon everyday items like televisions and dishes using bats, sledgehammers, and more. Some of the items that can be disassembled might even bear the logo of an opposing team.

Only in a dump like Philadelphia, would this be a thing.
