I'll be disappointed if Gaudette doesn't get in.  He should never been taking out in the first place but especially after lethargic game yesterday, they could use his fresh legs and energy.

He may get in soon if we struggle to score but I think more likely is he will be going back to Utica. Which in all honesty is better for his development to get ACTUAL game time play. Practicing with NHLers is good and all but being in the game during pressure moments in all situations is what that kid needs.

That PP goal was on Beagle and he owned up to it.  He should've had the clear.  But also it was a good play by Hall.  Can't stop them all, and the least of my concerns right now is the PK.

Beagle is a stand up mate.  Of course he’s going to have Schaller’s back.  Ask Demko, and he’d say he has to make the save.  We have really good character.  It’s still Schaller’s bobble that leads directly to the goal, regardless.

If Schaller is doing quite well on the PK like some are saying, why not try to move him for a late round pick, opening up ice time for Gaud until Rous returns at least

I’m thinking Malhotra could have had better results.

I know a big part of it is on the players, but for a so called power play specialist coach, he’s gotta deliver better results.

Way too much hesitation and lack of puck movement. They should spend an entire practice working on moving the puck around the zone and taking one timers. I’d rather them attempt a shot and have it blocked, then not shoot and turn the puck over.

I think you're on the right track there - id go so far as to say they should spend a couple of practices working on passing and accepting passes off the skate at speed. In the style of some movie montage - working on fundamentals. :P

I like Lemieux, plays on the edge and is physical, be a great 4th liner player for us to have!

Here is hoping he doesn't run one of our guys...if he does I sure hope we react like the Lames/Kings of last night or Devils yesterday even when the hit wasn't even that bad! Those teams push back...Canucks haven't in quite some time, which is sad in my books.

Last time he ran one of our guys, he got 5 and a game misconduct. Not too worried. Unless it was Krieder... hard to keep track, honestly...

If he runs someone and they get hurt tho, that is the problem. Saying not too worried is probably how Canuck players feel too and oh we will get em back on the PP ala the Sedin Era Montra. Well, guess what Sedin's are gone time for the new captain to step up and if our guys get targeted he lead the way in showing we aren't pushovers like we have been over the past decade.

Stand up for each other and go after someone if they run or take a dirty shot on your teammate. If beer league hockey can do it, why can't Millionaires!?!?

I guess two wrongs don't make a right.

Lines in warm-up:

Pearson-Horvat(C)-Virtanen
Miller-Pettersson-Boeser
Ferland-Sutter(A)-Leivo
Schaller-Beagle-Motte

Edler-Myers
Hughes-Tanev(A)
Benn-Stecher

Markstrom

Hmm, I can't say why, but I think that Pettersson with Boeser is not a perfect combo. I would like to see Sutter with Petey and reunite Baer-Bo-Boeser. I remember Sutter playing well as RW with the Sedins.

Miller-Pettersson-Sutter

Baertschi-Horvat-Boeser

Pearson-Gaudette-Virtanen

Ferland-Beagle-Motte

I hear what you’re saying.  Hard to trade a guy, who has no value, right?  It’s not like Schaller is paid a lot.  Plus he’s on the last year of his contract.

Yup.  The bottom six today has no playmakers.  Goldy and Baer would drive play for sure.  But Green wants a bottom six that plays heavy and does the PK.
