First one...my son was really young (6?) and we were at a card show, lined up to meet him. As there was a huge turnout and a time cutoff, an announcement was made that each person was allotted enough time for one signature (ONLY)....no pictures, etc. My son was in awe as he stepped up to the table with his (?....probably a Ninja turtle or something) for Trev to sign. He spotted me standing off to the side, video camera in hand. He then stepped from behind the table, picked my son up on his knee and had a quick conversation with him (he'd prompted me to record it!). My son was gobsmacked. Another time, I was the first in line for a signing at Save On ... Canucks put out an anniversary book and anyone who bought it got it signed. Except...I was directed to the wrong section (a small, new book section) by a Manager. As it neared time for the event, I noticed no one was coming to the section I was in! People were streaming into the store, but heading to the opposite corner! I hurried over to see a HUGE line up...didn't even think I'd make the cut off. I spotted the Manager who'd steered me wrong and he said "come with me" and whisked me through an employee only door and up the stairs. There was a small meeting type room with a few people in it...he told me to sit and wait and Trevor would be up shortly. It was a media room and sure enough he came up and answered questions and chatted with us all. Trevor is a real hero in our household....always has been. My "start" here was with a poem I'd written about him. I was devastated when he was traded (bawled) but his return home was miraculous. So glad to hear that he'll be involved...wouldn't feel right/complete without him.

Markus couldn't handle the captaincy during adversity and playoff pressure. As for Luongo, he was no captain. Just a figure head with a C on his mask. Isn't changing to the primary to the stick and rink contributing towards making more money as the idea is to get fans to buy that jersey? Might as well stick to our original logo if we are to "not care" about making money for the business that they're running. Hasn't Aquilini embraced the rebuild and spent buyout money and buried contract money to help with the rebuild? I don't know what Linden and Francesco disagreed upon, but I wouldn't say Francesco doesn't care about the team. Are we not celebrating the past heritage with games wearing the stick and rink (updated) and the skate logo? And having players from the past (including Linden) for this anniversary season? You really don't have a clue on what's really going on.

Don’t know what the latter comment was about - well read the thread, who the heck knows what FA is thinking or doing - that’s all speculation. Agree with the first paragraph. Always thought they should have made Jovo the Captain of that team - Naslunds interviews were awful for the most part, didn’t matter if the emotions should have been high or low it was always drab and depressing - never upbeat. His play was a different story and who knows what went on in the dressing room, but Jovo played with passion - and was a good C later in ARi.
