Oh ffs Albertans are the hardest working people you will ever meet. 14 hours a day is normal out here that's like a whole work week for the hippies on the left coast. I know that's illegal but go up white swan road down by canal flats and you'll see it plain to day. Oil and logging arnt much different cause I know of a few areas that haven't been replanted like your suppose to do after logging an area lol jesus. Both are bad for the world but we need both ha and both provinces need the money earned from them....

Handy guy to have in the fam, he's coming over later this week. I've got about 5 trees that have to come down after the recent wind storm. I had not heard about the BC wells like Ryan mentioned so I looked them up vs AB. I actually read there is quite a bit of work in decommissioning spent and inactive wells.

Yea they are ha my family ran a logging company in b.c for years until the market crashed in the 90's. We started by horse logging and worked our way up ha i still got uncles that log or that have lol lucky for my I'm a better faller then them lol but they can kick my rear on a skidder lol i get that but both provinces are dirty neither is clean and not to sound rude but have you ever been threw radiam to cranbrook ? edit* there is lots of work taking apart and repairing wells, those companies are classified as oilfield services , they build them and take them apart iirc also you said your nephew was a logger, bucker, skidder operator or faller? I've been everywhere, manI've been everywhere, manCrossed the desert's bare, manI've breathed the mountain air, manOf travel I've a'had my share, manI've been everywhere I understand that each province has it's environmental challenges. I was really just asking good old Ryan about the amount of wells etc..since he said some of us BC'rs have a superiority complex. I hadn't heard much about inactive wells in BC. Turns out the stats are 9-1 for AB vs BC. Also, like I said there is work on those wells for any that in AB need it. https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/decommissioning-closures-wells-psac-alberta-1.5323450

I could use some of those tremendously hard working Albertans at my place this morn. Was loading 12ft lengths of drywall into my reno, those are awkward AF. Arms are feeling it. They would probably want me to pay $50 an hour though, I imagine. Maybe that's on the cheap side?

Lol it's not like the rigs lol damn man....hanging drywall is no joke either and their sometimes to easy to brake lol did it for a summer in high school never again lol (my parents always told me that's why they had kids so they could do the grunt work ha) theres hard workers every where but the hard workers want the highest paying jobs and why riggers make what they do cause it's tough work and not everyone is cut out for it....just like logging...

You can't count that as a 14 hr work day.... BC ers would do the same amount work in 5 hrs..... FFS even the newfies in Alberta get promoted quickly as their level of education / math / reading skills . are so much higher than albertans.... King really Alberta public school system kicks the hell out of B.Cs. Oh king you know once you start drilling you can't stop sometimes , so it's running 24/7 so riggers do earn their pay check. Go be a floor hand for one hitch and if your lucky they will let you throw pipe for a bit and have fun with that ha oh don't forget when you move the rig and you have to carry every heavy piece that Unbolts and that sucks..... oh better pray the rig doesn't take a kick cause it could kill everyone on the floor.....
