Most likely a replacement for Ferland. Which is perfect, he can slide right on to Bo's line with Virt. Unless they decide to move Pearson up to 2nd line and have Sutter, Bear and Leivo as a line.

They said they demoted him because they didn't think he could play on the 3rd line and the top-6 was full.

that was then. The Sutter line looks much more like a scoring threat than maybe predicted at the start of the season, and maybe Baer has proven something to them in Utica? Not sure, I didn't watch any of the Comets games.

They were probably worried that Sven was trying to avoid contact and sent him down to get "back into" the full game. Hopefully his stint down in Utica helped him remove his "shyness".

Good player when/if he is totally healthy.

It's still an ill fit - not the same style of play.  Weird call up.  Hopefully for his career it's not to sit in the pressbox or be on a line with guys where there is limited chemistry.  Canucks need to be able to trade him and the sooner the better for both sides.

That was not his understanding.  He said they phoned him and told him he is going on waivers - doesn't fit the team.  The reporter asked him about the discussion Benning/Green had with his agent - and wrote that Baertschi wondered how can he be a recall option when he doesn't fit the team.

Let's use Baertschi on the line with Bo and Jake V!! It's about time!! They used to click and slick!

Imagine if Baertschi can stay healthy and start putting up points consistently.... we are gonna have even more dilemmas on the roster.... that should spell the end of the Loui era!!

they could be showcasing him a bit too. We'll see where he's used, I'd guess with Bo but we'll see.
