I hope that some of the youth going pro in any of the major sports leagues are somewhat financially literate or responsible. ya exactly. like even 925k for 3years a typical elc contract is 2.75million. work a part time job as a hockey/coaching job and you are set for life. obviously you pay a decent of tax when you bring in that much cash in one year but still. a elc contract and a bridge deal makes you set for life. anything more then that and you can buy nice cars, parents can retire early, vacation homes, kids get free uni, ect... crazy to think about it when someone is just gifted.
