The Canucks are undefeated in regulation at home so far this year. They're going to battle hard to maintain that. Their start is key. They need to come out and dominate the first 20 minutes like they did every game of their winning streak. If they can do that this one's in the bag. canuck2288
One thing I absolutely love about the Canucks games on Saturday is very rarely do I need to see Don Cherry’s racist face. his comments yesterday were outright racist. Full stop. how CBC/Sportsnet allows this is shocking. guess they don’t have a policy about spewing random unsubstantiated comments about newcomers to Canada not wearing poppies or it’s is allowed under their policies. The best sportsnet could do is come up with a lame press release saying they have “spoken” to Don. Are you kidding me? “Spoken” to Don? Fire his crusty old a$$ you cowards!!!! I am fairly certain it violates CRTC regulations see ya Don....oh and Ron McLean you spineless a$$, thanks for intervening instead of just sitting their like a coward nodding your head....oh wait you sat there like a coward nodding your head I encourage all on here to file a CRTC complaint. Let’s get this irrelevant old racist off the air. Edited November 10, 2019 by canuck2288 1 1 5

Lol I just think its unacceptable for our team to lose 10x in a row to a bottom feeding team.. they were good for 1 year with hall... like I dunno watch some tapes see why the hell we ain't scoring against that goalie.. his save percentage is sub .900... yet hes the reincarnation of Brodeur against us every game
Pete M
would like to see Horvat, Baer, and Gaud ... on a line. idk, Horvat plays like a "bull in a China Shop". He tries to do it all by himself....it's amazing when a player takes only the man, and the other takes the puck, and the other goes for the net how simplifying the game actually works. It's like setting up the "attack triangle" ...player with the puck goes wide entering the Ozone, 2nd and 3rd guys set up the triangle by one of them going for the net and the other one trailing in the high slot...a simple play, that works almost every time by creating a scoring chance....the amazing part is...they rarely set it up because the players are trying to do it all by themselves. They need to start playing like a team and not like individuals.....period. ...also noticed the players are out of sync....for example, they shoot when no one is screening the goalie, and they pass when they have the screen set up with one or two guys in front of the net. ...when the screen is set up, the boys need to get the puck on net; they can't be passing it and having the pass be intercepted or bobbled. They're not in sync, lately. Edited November 10, 2019 by Pete M

Now it looks like they're squeezing their sticks. Good PPs move the puck quickly. At a certain point coaching has to give way to what the players bring. Their not building a piano out there, just put the galldarn thing in the galldarn net. Teams have watched the tape and figured out how to foil our stationary PP. Just pressure the puck carrier and get in the lanes to prevent the cross ice pass from the half wall. If you noticed, after STL figured this out everybody has been doing it every game since.
nuck-lifer
We're gong to running over these Devils, turning them into Devils food, so don't expect any sympathy for the Devils here. 4-1 Canucks to end this Devil domination.

They are following a text book like it's the one any only option. Or it might be drilled into them to stick to the system no matter what. You hear a lot of that in interviews. Players saying they need to play their game, stick to the game plan, everyone has bought into the system, and coach Green repeatedly saying if we stick to the system we'll win more than we lose. I don't think it's the players lacking creativity. It's the coaching staff who does, and the players are scared to deviate from the one dimensional system because TG will bench them if they do. 3 hours ago, canuck2288 said: Do we agree that if we blow this game Green is seriously in the hot seat? can’t blame it on back to back games, late flights, road game, any any other excuse Green can dream up While I desperately hope so I highly doubt it. Aquillini seems to have a hard on for TG. Imagine what a team like this could do under a true NHL level coach.

If Green has done nothing towards our record and development of our players, then we may as we hire a hippopotamus as our next coach since Benning could just bring in all the talent that will get it done on their own. There are positive results. Green may not be the only one accomplishing all of this, but he is certainly contributing.

Nevermind the fact that just last week, many were saying this was supposedly "the best team they had ever seen". What a bipolar crowd. I used to think so too. If we won it was "OMG guyz we're gonna win the Stanley Cup this year!" If we lost we should fire everyone and blow up the team. After being around awhile you realize there are posters who are cheerleaders and posters who are nay sayers. The naysayers come out after a loss to say "I told you so" and the cheerleaders come out after a win to go "Rah rah rah". Both groups tend to stay quiet when the game goes the other way which gives this board it's bipolar appearance.

Besides who's available that's BETTER? There's no one I can think of. I wouldn't say Trent Cull is better. First rough patch and you're calling for the coaches head? 2
