Team 1040 seems to be saying it is a heart problem, perhaps similar to Jiri Fischer.

Hope  TJ is going to be fine and able to still play nhl hockey.

If it's heart related, TJ needs to walk away from the game.  There's way more to life than hockey if health is a concern.

Fischer's heart failed. Brodie didn't suffer heart failure if he did he would likely be dead right now.

Maybe that's all this is then, and Brodie is going to A Okay after some rest?

He's gonna go through a bunch of tests to rule out many possible causes. They'll likely put him on a 24-hour holter monitor to make sure it's not the heart. Also some scan of the head and neck to rule out a blood clot, a cerebrovascular accident or a malignancy. If all this come back normal, then he should likely resume skating in a couple of weeks.

What are some other causes for fainting and having a seizure that aren't so serious as a heart condition?

Ideally you would hope in this case it was caused by medication or some virus and not some underlying serious medical condition.
