Popular Post Grapefruits
I've lost count how many times I've seen SOTW live. I was at their final 2 shows at The Commodore. Probably their best show was at The Commodore when Ashley Mcasiac opened. It wasn't easy seeing him decline so quickly. RIP. Popular Post Ghostsof1915
Funny thing is the first time I heard "Home for a rest". I was on a bus and bunch of drunk rugby players boarded the bus and it was one of the songs they were singing. It was fantastic. 1
Popular Post nuckin_futz
If you can find it, this was a fantastic documentary about John's fight with Alzheimers and his preparations for their last ever gig. RIP John. 2 1

Tre Mac
They were a staple on the Wedge back in the day, you know back when Much used to play Music? Venice is sinking was the first song I heard by them, and that 'erection on a horse' lyric always made me laugh - and probably always made him laugh as well. RIP.
Heretic
Found another thing I have in common with John - Born in Calgary, Alberta, Mann relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia, to study theatre at Studio 58. He left Studio 58 in 1983 and co-founded the band Spirit of the West. Wow, I probably met him, as I was at Studio 58 in 1983 as well!
