They were missing the best player of this era.

We're just soft and awful defensively in our forward group.

All those forwards who apply that grit and defensively play are out with injury.

Like we can't close out games, our PK went to $&!#, we aren't as physical or strong on pucks since Sutter, Beagle, Motte, Ferland, Roussel went out.

We haven't been winning much since they've been out.

Not excusing the coaching, they can be better but you can't expect to win much with those guys out regardless.

Well to be fair, Torts was a Linden firing so JB's hand are clean on that one.

Willie can he argued as more of a Linden hiring so JB can wiggle himself out of that.

So Green can be said to be JB's first coach.

Textbook example of...if at first you don't succeed, please, please try again! :sadno:

I'm sure green will same this same ole crap like he always does...

If anyone’s to Blame it’s the Petey Brock line with crappy defence. I think they where out there on all the 3rd period Penguin goals.

anywho just hope they learn from this.

on to the next game

Horrendous coaching but it was offside.

That's the only decision by Green he made all night that was good.

For those of you who can't figure it out, Malkin is onside, it's the guy in the middle away from Malkin. His back skate is an inch above the ice.

The picture proves it onside not offside

what are you taking about? The pick is in the zone, who cares what the other player in doing?

So where are the Green supporters now?

- for some unknown reason he decides Demko is his number 1 goalie after Marky wins 2 in a row

-he does not pull Demko after it was clear he was shaky (JG and Malkin goals were bad) and the team was collapsing. Instead he waits until the game was already tied

- he challenges the offside then shakes his head like he knows he has no hope. Great poker player move. basically tells Toronto he knows it’s a good goal...and if he knew that he takes a 2 minute penalty

Travis Green is not a good coach

He demonstrated it tonight

Markstrom was not feeling well today.  That answers the first two of your questions.

You think that Toronto has a guy sitting there and watching for any tells on the coaches' face?  Come on man, you can blame him for not calling a timeout but not for that other stuff.

Trade Boeser in a hockey deal, one-for-one.

Kyler Connor, Travis Konecny, Pierre Luc-Dubois, Matthew Tkachuk (oh what could've been).

In comparison, these players are substantially better in all areas of the game save for Boeser's shot, which hasn't been that effective for a while now if we're being honest.

I like Boeser but we have to realize rookie season Boeser is likely never coming back and changes need to be made.
