Gotta think there is something there between the Devils and Flames. Johnny Hockey a Jersey kid, Hall a Calgary kid. Both teams struggling to some degree.

At the Philadelphia border - he played hockey in Pennsylvania growing up.   A few years back he said he'd like to finish his career playing for the Flyers.

I'm not as up to date about Taylor Hall, but given that he has won the Hart Trophy, I'd like to know more details about what is so bad about him.

There was talk that he was bullying Mcdavid in his rookie year in the dressing room. In addition he was rumoured to say things like the oilers were his team and not that F%*#!n kid’s team.

Yeah Hall ain't going to be a Canucks. No cap space.

I agree he won’t however, we could make a move to rent him, we don't have the cap to keep him long term.

We’re not that deep into building that the move would guarantee us more than 1 playoff series though so the price isn't worth it for us. I think he goes to Colorado or Dallas.

Colorado as a rental but probably not long term with MacKinnon, Landeskog and Makar.  Burakovsky has also done really well and will need a new deal.  Sakic was really mindful about the Rantanen deal because of MacKinnon coming up in a few years.  They don't even really need Hall.

I could see Nashville.  They could find the space - Smith and Granlund are coming off their books and they would need to buy out Turris.  They don't really have a game breaker up front. The closest is Forsberg.

Colorado has a ton of cap space and flexibility.

Agree Nashville is an outside Hall contender though.

Colorado has the best chance of landing him. They have a lot of cap and a whole barn of talent to trade. With Hall, they could be a cup contender and that's what he wants as well.

Totaaly agree - and hasn't Taylor expressed a desire to play for a contending team? Put Hall on Colorado and look out!

I'm not sure he's worth it, Hall embodies everything the Canucks have kept out of its dressing room.

What? Injuries? The Canucks already know injuries.

I feel like the Bruins should go all in for Hall as a rental at the deadline. Bergeron will be 35 after this post season and Marchand will be 32. Their window will never be more open than it is right now. Hall gives them a legit scoring threat outside of the top line.

Why?  They were roommates and McDavid talked of losing a close friend and mentor when Hall got traded.
