This was the worst move of that regime and it's not even close. If you're trying to win the cup, and you trade one of your best assets. Trade it for someone that will help RIGHT NOW to win that cup, not for a minor leaguer! Even if Kassian turned out to be a really good player on the Canucks eventually, we would have still lost that trade because by then this team would be past it's prime. CanadianRugby
Also. As with any addict, Kassian needed time until (thankfully) he made the decision to clean up his life. Maybe it took that car accident in Montreal for him to realize he needed a change. I'm sure the Canucks did all they could but it was up to him and not the team. 1 1

If he was riding shotgun on EPs line & Matheson pulled that cheap stunt on him; Kassian would make sure Matheson would be eating his dinners via a straw for the rest of the season. It doesn't hurt though that Kassian can skate (and thus be of other use on that line besides his fists or 'loose screw'). It was a facetious/sarcastic reply.
Boudrias
Really liked Kassian even during his troubles in Van. Wish it had worked out. Very glad that he has turned the corner with the Oilers. Yes, I would take Kassian back in a second. 1

tas
scoring at a 53 point pace is pretty good, except when your linemates are on pace for 80 more than that.
bishopshodan
Loved him, wished he was still a Nuck. Was time though, he needed a change. I know some people, that knew some things... For some reason I also like saying his name with the first letters switched. Kack Zassian So good.

He's not on the line to be putting up points. He's there to prevent a puke like Matheson giving Petterson a body slam (which is why we have guys like Ferland on the team). Like him at times when he was here. Was happy to see them trade him, thought he was becoming a really negative influence around the new players that we were drafting. It can be easily argued that his current success would not have happened if the Canucks, or the Canadians for that matter, had continued to show patience in him. I think the only thing that got through to him, was being flushed from 2 teams, so close together. He didn't even get a chance to play a single game for Montreal, the pushed the eject button as soon as he crashed his truck while drunk. All this said, really happy to see him find some success and get himself back on track.
