I actually think this Crawford thing is a good example of how people can all move forward. Chicago has done a good job of letting all the info come out. People effected by Crow got their say. We've learned that Crow has actually been trying to address his behaviour and he's been in counselling for nearly a decade and hasn't been a jerk since 2010. He's been suspended, but is getting his job back. Crow has made sincere apologies and attempts to better himself.

 

Seems to me like a good template for coming up with the right approach to how we assess these situations.

I hereby go on a self-imposed one hour 'time out' because I must confess, it was I that put the thumbtack on Tortorella's Rant seat back in elementary school.  My only defense was that he took my lunch money.
