Not surprising. They have outright sucked. Devils and Wings were both darlings with the media to end last year with the off and running, re-building the right way applause. It's tougher than it looks and I commend JB for where we sit considering our crap luck at the draft lottery, and all those no trade clauses.

Oh this will make a difference.  The Devils are lead by Taylor "Show me the money" Hall, and "Watch Me Play" PK.  They need to stay at the bottom for a couple more years, so they can get more good players at the draft.  They should trade Hischer.  Can't have your top two centers being tiny Smurfs.  Or do they trade Jack Hughes?  One of those two has to go for them to become a competitive team.

Are we talking about the organisation that had zwo No. 1 picks in the last three years? Look at their first round picks since 2013:

2014: John Quenneville (30th)

2015: Pavel Zacha (6th)

2016: Michael McLeod (12th)

2017: Nico Hirschier (1st)

2018: Ty Smith (17th)

2019: Jack Hughes (1st)

JB's drafting doesn't look so bad in comparison.

What does that make it now? Three coaches have been fired and the season is two months in.

I wonder how many more will be canned by the time the regular season ends?

Next firing? Claude Julien.

Claude Julien is a dead man walking.

Can Mike Babcock speak French?

Karma for winning the draft lottery two times, now you can suck like a last place team for a bit.

Coilers after winning the draft lotto and getting Hall, and Nuge?  Hischer and Hughes are really not special players, who are going to take their team to the next level.
