HC20.0
The Good: Hughes was awesome tonight. Myers played well after the first goal. Virtanen got one. Markstrom was amazing. Miller looked good, as did Petey. The PK. The Bad: The first 30 minutes. BRUTAL! The PP. You seriously can't retrieve the puck after the Sharks whiff on an empty net 3 times? Great quality chances, and a few of them SHOULD have been buried. Both of our goals were right after back breakers by the Sharks. Unacceptable. 1

Boeser was demoted after creating the game winning goal the last game. Green is a huge problem. And as someone else mentioned .. wait to get possession before pulling the goalie. Lose the draw and then possession and you compromise your chances right away.
Kanukfanatic
This team is soooo disappointing. In October I thought the team took a step forward. In December it looks like the same ole failure team. I wonder when/if they will actually get better.

Well worry no more. Introducing the 2019 Vancouver Canucks. Your goalies $&!# save percentage? Gone. Losing streak? Gone. For just 3 easy payments of 20 minute periods, you can snap any streak. Call today, but wait, call now in the next 20 minutes, and we'll even throw in a blown 3rd period lead This post hits close too home

No way nucks would be able to dominate the entire 60 against a team as desperate (and really skilled) as the Sharks. No one said dominate for 60 but you do need to play for 60.

Darth Canuck
Is it me or is one of San Jose’s assistance coaches Geddy Lee? Geez no wonder they won, in 7:4 time... 1

spliced
This team isn't skilled enough to be this sloppy and lazy and still win. Time to show the boys tapes of Motte and Roussel, we need more guys bringing that work ethic.

There are two teams on the ice. Even with San Jose dominating the first (nucks did outplay them in the 2nd and 3rd) they were only up by one. Jam126
It's so frustrating the way this team is playing, they have talent and decent support players but they play so casually like they're in a rec league. This team has not played consistent hockey since the end of October. I think Green is too soft, and he's clearly not a good tactician. 1 1

Lose the draw and then possession and you compromise your chances right away. It’s really not that hard. There’s no difference of adding a forward after they win the draw and get setup. Its actually more of an advantage because that extra guy is able to sneak into the ply likely unchecked. I can’t believe an NHL coach doesn’t realize the need to have possession. You’re banking everything on that face off win. 1

But if this team continues the win one lose one trend coaching options at least need to be explored. Green has the personnel now, he can’t just win games when his roster is 100% healthy. If his strategies aren’t working he needs to go back to the drawing board. I've been cautiously supportive of Green and I'm really starting to feel like he doesn't actually have a strategy beyond getting pucks deep and skating hard. Some of the Dzone play has been just mind numbing bad. Like since when do you collapse into a passive box during 5v5 play? Wtf is that? Nobody pressuring the puck? What? 2
Junkyard Dog
Team needs to start to come out of the gate better. Too many slow starts. Coaches and players need to step it up. No excuses anymore we are healthy enough. Edited December 15, 2019 by Junkyard Dog
