Team really can't afford to just play win 1 and loss 1. They need to string together 3-5 wins in a row and keep the foot the on the gas pedal. Tonight's game is frustrating for many reasons. Score was 4-2, but it really should of been 2-2 heading into OT if not for the 2 empty net goals.

Petey played a bad game. He either waits too long for a shot until the scoring chance vanishes or he stick handles to much and leads to turnovers. He is young, he will learn. Regards to coaching: Green seems to have the team play the same way they did a few seasons ago which when they team didn't have much talented players and relied a lot on dump and chase and grind it out hockey. Right now, this team have more skilled players, I think it would be better if this team play with better structure, a better transition game than just simply a dump in and grind game.

You mean like that chance on the late PP in the third, where the puck bounced out to him alone, waited much too long and the chance vanished? The best time to shoot there is immediately. There is surprise factor. Dell wasn't set...so and so forth. Instead, him waiting so long let Dell get set and defenders get in position, less space to shoot, and less space in net.

Petey just needs to shoot. How many times does he fake one timers, way too many. Obviously sometimes there's no lane, but he also does it when there is a lane. Last season a whole lot more often than not he just let it rip. Now it's rare.

No. Their poor start was coaching. Lines were mixed up needlessly. Boeser was demoted after creating the game winning goal the last game. Green is a huge problem.

This team had 3 different coaching staff over the last 6 years but their problems always remain the same.  Hardly make a clean break out with the puck, not enough puck support in the offensive zone, give up too much open ice to the opposition in the neutral zone, not moving their feet and on and on.

Something tells me there are bigger chronic problems with this team than just calling for the coach's head.

Considering how they started.  Deserved better, hopefully like the Leaf/Canes games they'll have a better result tomorrow.

Hard to argue they deserve better when a whole third of the game was a complete throwaway.

Now imagine if they started on time. Would've destroyed 'em. That's why we are frustrated, because this team is clearly better than the Sharks when they start playing.

It's clear this is a talented roster. I think it's time to go get a talented coach.

This team has to score 5 goals to win most nights, which tells me they don't compete well against defensive teams.

It looks like a lot of teams are starting to play trap hockey again, so if they can't figure this out, expect more losses.

Hughes with 27:00 TOI.  Next-closest D was Myers with 22:43, and no others hit 20.

Is Quinn Hughes becoming our #1 dman before the half-way point of his rookie season?

With Edler out, Hughes is the #1 defenseman on the team. Which is really impressive. I would love to see Hughes in the all-star game this year for the Canucks. He would thrive in the 3 on 3 situation.

It's the players and coaches.

If you're consistently having slow starts then no one is blameless.

Everyone needs to step up. We are healthy enough now. No more excuses.

Difference is this years roster is much more talented than the ones of the past 4 seasons.

The excuse of being a young team is wearing thin.
