I don’t know exactly what you mean by “crotch watcher” but if it is demeaning to the creepy uncle Ron McLean, than it fits him.  Guy is a serious creep.

It comes from that fact that Ronnie, when interviewing people, would always glance down at your junk while you're answering his question.

Larry and Willy did a thing on him back when they were on cfox. If you watch his eyes during coaches corner he's always looking down at Don's crotch. they wrote a little song and everything.

Isn't he something special?

Thrilled to have QH in the new core.

To think he is chasing Borque’s rookie record of 3-point games is surreal.

I am just amazed with Hughes

to think many on here think he can’t play the d part of the game

QH is a legit gem

Yep. He has his gaffs but he makes far more elite defensive plays with his stick and timing his aggression than the rare gaff. Has had maybe 5 subpar defensive games this year which is pretty damn good for a year 1.

Often the tough guys are honourable, and (therefore) fair to both teams.

Yes, he's also a good hockey player.

The jury is out on Green. He’s a capable coach who holds down a job in the best hockey league in the world. If the team makes the playoffs he’ll keep his job, and if not he probably doesn’t .

It is laughable and predictable that every time something doesn’t go right, the pitchforks come out. Whenever something goes right - it’s like crickets on these boards.

As long as Green is the coach of this team, l’m in his corner.  So yeah Green is a “good” coach. I’m just not so sure if he’s a great coach.

I haven’t seen any of Green’s detractors suggest a viable replacement for him. So come on, name names, bring the fire.

There are no shortages of experienced real nhl coaches out there

may have to endure a few punches upside the players heads but there are guys out there

I could see the reasons they might go for him if available but the contract is a tough one to swallow even for an expansion team.

Also very slim chance Montreal asks him to be made available in the first place. Not impossible but not likely either.

In a year, they might leave him available and hope to get out of that contract.

Depends on how their kid goalies do between then and now, I guess.

Quite the second and individual effort from EP40, hey?!

That kid is a revelation and worth every bit what Mathews is, IMO.

First time hockeyvulle interview wasn’t awkward or full of cringe.

No excuse for Green/Brown not to have an answer to aggressive pk/defense. This is a problem since the start of the season and the players are still lost and turn over the puck when a team is aggressive in their defense.

So an aggressive PK works when the puck is held too long. and a PP works well when you are allowed to move around to make shots

He is a rookie for sure but he is playing way way above rookie level hockey

nothing but upside ahead for QH
