Still bleeding money.

It's taken them 10 years and only 3000 more fans. Sorry Arizona is a money pit for the NHL.

Here he is everyone, the one guy still mad at the Miller trade

Trading away your clubs next Horvat / Hughes is probably not the best long term plan.

Of course many new fans to NHL hockey probably think its a great deal. Heh it may put our club from 28th to 24th for the next few years....

NEWS: Taylor Hall and Blake Speers to ARI in exchange for a first-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, third-round selection (conditional) in 2021, D Kevin Bahl and F Nick Merkley and Nate Schnarr

— New Jersey Devils (@NJDevils) December 16, 2019

so to be clear

and so we are all talking about the same thing

hall and spears to arizona (2 assets)

for bahl, merkley, schnarr, 1st round pick, and conditional 3rd rounder (that might become a 1st rounder) (5 assets)

*****

i think this is a steep price for a rental

but if hall resigns a decent contract

it is pretty fair value

hall is not the player coilers traded to devils

with devils hall's points per game average increased and he won a league mvp

he was sure to return more then larssson

but that hall larrson deal was still a huge mistake by the oilers.. they did not get enough

In all fairness, the Canucks can barely attract high end UFAs either.

What are you talking about .. we got LE Beagle Roussel Ferland Myers all UFAs.

Didn't have to overpay for any of them on money or term..

Lol.. /

Ahahhahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaahahah(breathe) AHHHHHHHhahahahahhahahahahaàaaaaaaa

If the nucks make the playoffs this year, tampa gets our first rounder. 17-31 overall draft pick.

If no playoffs it slides to 2021 draft.

Let's play some 1 on 1 because I'm a new fan and dont know how to hockey, you should win right?

Go back to del lanes

Arizona pays 1 1st round pick, 3 prospects, and either a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round pick for:

Canucks paid a 1st round pick, a 3rd round pick, and a nobody prospect for:

I guess JB did a very good job.

*With term on a relatively inexpensive contract no less

My biases:

- I am philosophically against the Miller trade because the core players are still too young to lead this team

- I thought the Miller trade was somewhat of an over payment considering the situation Tampa was in, but this is difficult to judge as I did not know how many teams for vying for Miller at the time

- It is too early to call this season off, if other teams can have an amazing win streak to come back from the dead, this team can as well

My opinion:

Arizona overpaid for Hall. Miller is younger, more physical, can play centre, can kill penalties and is locked into a decent contract. Hall is injury prone and in certain aspects one-dimensional. Worst of all Hall is merely a rental at this point.
