I barely see any emotion on their faces anymore. They are tired of dump and chase because nobody's good at it except Miller. You dump the puck in and it only takes 2 seconds for the other team break out with the puck, slicing through our tofu-soft forechecking. And once they're in our zone they have all day cycling the puck because we just keep standing/sprawling around the net trying to block everything instead of pressuring the puck carrier. There's got to be an NHL coach who knows how to get the best out of this roster. Green may know hard work and developing, but that's probably his ceiling at this point of his coaching career. Look around the leauge... the sucessful teams are the ones implementing styles that let them dominate puck posession and have a strong defensive game. The problem isn't the dump and chase, it's the fact that they can't break up a cycle in their own zone to save their life. How many times did we see the Sharks and the Knights spend a 7 day vacation in the Canucks' zone in the last week? A lot, Mr. 1-D, a lot.

He spends to the cap every year and supports the team and the fans with heart and soul. I have no doubt that changes are coming. He knows how we feel and he feels the same way I think. Guy is a fan at his core and wants a winner as much as the rest of us. And he hates the TO and MTL fans having a laugh fest in our building. I expect he is going to make some bold moves that reflect the great ownership and fan base we have here. And it is going to result in the Canucks having a huge turnaround and making the playoffs this year! I find it ridiculous when people try to paint the ownership as evil. In any business setting, the ownership provides management with all the resources they need to succeed - and it's the manager's job to execute. Without paying the rent you can't stay. I'm happy with how this team has been built and I love the new core, but the performance is unacceptable. They're not at all playing like a team. It's rather frustrating. 5

We have enough talent to make the playoffs. It's our strategy that seems to be an uphill battle for everyone. That’s debatable. I think Benning is a genius at drafting. A scout for talent with very few peers in the league. His free agent signings and trades have been far less successful. He’s drafted a pretty unreal core in a fairly small amount of time so I’d be inclined to give him another year, but I think Green might be a more limited coach, strategy-wise then some are willing to admit. Most veteran coaches are picking him apart lately. Green has the team playing a sporadic offensive game with inconsistent physicality from period to period. One minute, they’re hitting everything that moves, the next, they’re watching their most valuable players get laid out, with zero response. Schenn always responded to liberties on the kids. Too bad he wasn’t res-signed. Edited December 18, 2019 by PhillipBlunt 1
