And he's a 24 year old who has shown steady progress with each passing year, contributing both points and sound defensive play. He currently plays on both the penalty kill and the power play and can even take a few draws if needed. So why on god's green earth would the avalanche trade him....and trade him for that package nonetheless? You're offering a useless vet, a perpetually injured vet, an already injury plagued prospect, and about an extra 5 million in cap space lost. And the Avs have to toss in a 5th!
