[Report] Lias Andersson requests trade from Rangers

I think Pool for Anderson makes sense actually. Both high draft picks, both requested a trade.

Anderson's AHL stat (39 points in 74 games = 0.52PPG) are similar as Juolevi's even though OJ is a defenceman (21 points in 40 games = 0.525PPG).

I don't know if I'd trade OJ for Anderson 1 for 1.

Furthermore, Anderson requested a trade whereas OJ hasn't. Meaning, NYR is under the pressure to trade him.

I think Pool made it pretty clear to the Soilers that he wouldn't be coming back; I believe he did ask for a trade.

Regardless,  the Rangers picked Andersson too high at 7th overall (got suckered by his WJ performance) as most scouts had him in the 10-14 area.  JP was scouted close to the 4th overall by most of the pros.  I think the Soils would expect +++ more for Pool.

I think Andersson would be a good fit with the Canucks, if they could get him without giving up much.  He plays a JB type game; similar Podz and is just 21yrs old.  He would add some toughness/energy to the young core.

People going on about his bad attitude or character...just a kid who lacked some discipline at a critical time.  Who among us didn't think that Team Swedan were robbed in that game?  Poor reffing at it's max.:gocan:

i have no idea what you are talking about now

i'll summarize the discussion so far for you

you asked why lias did well at first and worse since

i said he has not developed any further

and has not gotten better

(to spell it out in a bit more detail for you, when a player has a bit of success, the other team targets the player more, the player needs to adjust and develop more, many players cannot make such adjustments at the pro level)

you said nothing about why this might have happened

zero

nil

nada

so that is hardly a discussion

instead you have chosen to attempt to ridicule me

seems you are a bit of a bully when challenged ?

because you are not able to respond in any other way ?

Do you really think I ask such a question because I want to hear the obvious? Now you elaborated a bit but why would any team target Lias? What did he has for success?

you provide zero information

about why you think lias was better at first and gotten worse

i give up

you are unable to contribute more

only continually asking more empty questions

and i really cannot answer why you ask a question

only you really know that

that is silly of you to ask me .. i am not inside your head

i would not target lias

he has done little for success

i feel you make me repeat myself

this is likely the 4th time

i have said he has not gotten better

he has not improved

he has not developed

please re read my previous posts

only respond if you really have something to say

Look at his season in NHL/AHL compared to the latter.

You give up so easy... I hope you don't influence our players with that mojo.

And if you had read further I talked about bullying might be the wrong word in that situation.

Loui is bullied here but I let him and Green deal with that.

Loui did the harm between him and Green by himself.

The fans should back the players independant of who they are.

It's all about understanding. The brightest understand me even when my english fail me...

I didn't say anything about your english, bro. And Loui isn't "bullied" by anyone.

If you look a little deeper it gets interesting. His first season with Rangers/Hartford as 18/19 years old he did ok.

What happened later?

Because of this "primitive coaching". It's always someone's fault...

Idk y NYR would do that. Lockwood is set to be UFA. And goldy is just goldy. Gotta add more. I think Gorton should trade with Holland. Pool for Lias.

Not sure why ppl are throwing Lockwood in trade proposals. Lockwood has continually expressed a desire to stay with the Vancouver organization because they remained loyal to him. Thus, he wishes to be loyal back.

Benning drafted character. This is the end result.

OMG please Benning, go get this guy. I still remember him and Petey tearing it up for team Sweden.

Just like Dahlen was tearing it up with Petey in the Swedish league right? Oh, and how the Sedins tore it up with Eriksson for Team Sweden?

How'd those turn out?

The guy has 9 points in 66 games and hasn't done nearly anything to warrant demanding a trade.

I'd rather not have sore losing whiners on the team.

I love the competitive fire he showed at the WJC, but this strikes me as immature. Of course, we don't know the entire story, so maybe there's more to this than we know, but on the surface it isn't a great look for Andersson.

When did Petey play with Dahlen play together in the Swedish Elite League? The Sedins met up with Eriksson when all three players were on the decline so that doesn't help.

Andersson's stock has got to be pretty low so worth a shot.
