What’s next ... spitting on opponents?

This team is an embarrassment of riches. :picard:

Like Hathaway did to Gudbranson...    Hathaway was given 3 games..  lucky Gudbranson didn’t rip his head off when the return tilt happened

My goodness - shut him down.  He is 18 and has his whole career ahead of him.

Agree

our goaltending is awful

captain is an a hole

coach is an ass

he should get on a plane and get out out of there. He is the only player on Canada that  has played well

Well, I'm defending the Canadian Captain, while you attack several Canadians on the team.

Very Patriotic of you  :gocan:

Being captain on the team does not give him immunity for being called out for his punk actions. Nor does head butting. You think because they wear the Canadian uniform it makes everything ok?

daws is playing like crap, that’s a fact. I am not going to say he is playing great just because he plays for our country

if you had ever played the game at a competitive level, which obviously you haven’t you would know the importance of respecting  a national anthem

Are you reading anything I said? Doesn't make everything they do perfectly ok. I'm saying we don't need to go overboard on hating on them, regardless of the nation they play for.

Hayton did something dumb, he apologized, time to move on. I'm sure he's been talked to, and learned his lesson.

Veleno did something I would say is worse, and is being punished for it via suspension.

Daws hasn't been great, but neither has the defense in front of him. Do you think saying he's playing like crap will help him (or anyone) in any way?

We don't need to be super critical and negative about everything. Constructive criticism is good, but hating on some kids is unnecessary. There's been countless commercials during the WJC on the subject, here's one of them:

I respect your comments

playing internationally for your country is more than trying to trying to win tournamenTs

its playing the game properly and with sportsmanship

we have not done that

This is being blown out of proportion. The kid left his helmut on and shouldn't have. He was reprimanded and that should be it.

People have short memories. I remember in 2005(?) when Team Canada absolutely destroyed Team Russia. Only 4 Russians stayed on the ice for the national anthem. One being Ovy. By the way Ovy was targeted for heavy body work as he was the big threat. Malkin was on that team as well and gave the Canadian team and the fans the finger as he left the ice. So lets put this in some context.

If people want to get upset how about suggesting that SN rein in their reporters who refer to every Canadian kid as the next coming of Gretzky. It is brutal the way they pump these kids up. They want human interest to get audience but the long term harm could be significant.
