we should post all the foiled terrorist attacks

Including the extremist alt right ones right?  Or will you decide that it's only the ones that fall under the dictionary definition of terror before posting?

Just curious because the goal posts tend to move a lot depending on...bias

All of them. Let's be honest if the individual is white you post it immediately now if they're any other colour you don't seem to waste your time.

Isn't this the guy that left the military and then dissapeared? I remember the story but don't recall ever hearing any updates on his whereabouts.

It's an honest question.

We have over 30 pages in the Vegas shooter thread of people claiming it had nothing to do with terrorism because of a dictionary definition.

Yes sir this is the guy who was being investigated for neo Nazi connections, threats and hate speech.  The fact that 3 separate groups including himself and various other former military personnel have planned this is genuinely scary.

I'm actually shocked it's not getting more air time in the US with it's hyper partisanship

The Vegas incident was terrorism, period!!

Tbh I thought the coverage here fizzled also. He went missing and it's all I heard.

I do think Jonathan Vance should be removed.

Absolutely agree with you there. They're wonderful people.

As for Trump's comment....context reveals motives. In this case, Trump was praising the African American gentleman because of his actions against some idiots dressed up in KKK outfits at one of Trump's rallies. These idiots were there, not in support of Trump but to create a disturbance that was sure to be picked up by the MSM and then used to push the false narrative that Trump and his supporters are racist.

Trump was trying to draw attention to the fact that many in the African American community are some of his most loyal supporters. A fact the MSM and their useful idiots don't care to highlight as it doesn't fit their narrative. The context necessitated a positive racial identification of this "wonderful" African American.

Trump's comments aren't an example of his innate racial bigotry - its a nothing burger!

Fake news

2nd Amendmnet

I don't believe it

Trump 2020

There is nothing misleading here.   Far right/Alt right/Neo Nazi members were arrested for literally threatening and planning an attack against peaceful protestors.  Facts taken out of context are bad, but literally creating a false narrative to ignore the real danger is ignorance at its highest.

As for "fine piece of journalism" none of it is linked to Trump at all, until he tweeted that the Dems were coming after their guns and 2nd amendment rights...

Your comments actually proves my point that every word said or written must understood in the context in which they're used. That you boil down my points into 4 labels/talking points actually says more about your ideology and worldview than mine.

"Fake news" can be a completely made up story, a story with facts taken out of context, or stories that omit certain facts. If we're going to be able to tell the difference, a two-word label isn't going to help us. Facts in context I believe, facts out of context I reject.

As for Trump2020....I wouldn't vote for Trump - your point is moot.

As of right now, hundreds upon hundreds of armed protestors are heading to or are in Virginia protesting new gun laws. They are chanting some scary things, have stated some scary things and are literally armed to the teeth.

The protests are centred around these new laws which are actually common sense and honestly a nothing burger knowing they could skip to another state and get those weapons without issue.  As well, something noted by the governor is that those areas that have proposed limitations already have rules against knives, bats and every other type of weapon so not including guns as has been the case since forever makes no sense, that it should be a blanket ban for weapons.

The pushback against proposed new gun restrictions began immediately after Democrats won majorities in both the state Senate and House of Delegates in November. Much of the opposition has focused on a proposed assault weapons ban.

Virginia Democrats are also backing bills limiting handgun purchases to once a month, implementing universal background checks on gun purchases, allowing localities to ban guns in public buildings, parks and other areas, and a red flag bill that would allow authorities to temporarily take guns away from anyone deemed to be dangerous to themselves or others.

These protests and armed citizens in place protesting the proposed weapons restrictions and new laws while levelling threats against public officials comes on the backs of numerous mass shootings in the country within the last 48 hours resulting in numerous deaths, including those of 2 officers.

Shooting kills 2 officers before Hawaii homes catch fire

HONOLULU, Hawaii — A Hawaii man with a history of run-ins with police and neighbors was facing eviction when he stabbed his landlord and killed two officers before the house he and two women were believed to be in burned, authorities and neighbors said Sunday.

Police responding to a call for help found a woman who had been stabbed in the leg and resident Jaroslav “Jerry” Hanel, in his 60s, opened fire, killing Officers Tiffany Enriquez, a seven-year veteran, and Kaulike Kalama, a nine-year veteran, Honolulu Police Chief Susan Ballard said. Police suspect he and two women were inside the house when it caught fire, and Ballard said it could take days for authorities to process evidence and recover any remains.

The fire spread to several other residences, destroying seven homes and leaving multiple others with fire or smoke damage, according to Honolulu fire officials.

The normally peaceful neighborhood where shots were fired is at the far end of the Waikiki Beach between the Honolulu Zoo and the famed Diamond Head State Monument, a volcanic crater that looms above Honolulu and is popular with tourists and hikers. A regional park is also nearby.

2 dead, 5 injured after shooting in San Antonio club

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The search for a suspect continued after two people were killed and five others were injured following a shooting during a concert at a San Antonio club Sunday night, Texas authorities said.

Police said officers were called shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday to the Ventura, a music venue and bar located along the Museum Reach portion of the San Antonio River Walk.

An argument broke out inside of the club and one person pulled out a gun and started shooting, San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said. One victim died at the scene, and another six were transported to a hospital, where one was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

The victims have not been identified. McManus said he was confident that a suspect would be soon identified and apprehended.

2 dead, 15 injured in Missouri shooting

KANSAS CITY, Missouri — Police in Kansas City say at least two people are dead and 15 were injured in a shooting outside a bar.

The shooting took place shortly before midnight Sunday. A police spokesman said responding officers found “a chaotic scene” and had to call in help from around the city. Two people were found dead, including a woman in the parking lot.

Police believe the shooter is one of the deceased. The spokesman said the shooter opened fire on a line of people waiting to enter a bar, but the motive for the shooting wasn’t immediately clear. The shooter was shot by an armed security guard, police said.

At least 15 victims were at local hospitals with injuries from the shooting. At least three people were in critical condition, police said.

Those guys look like they gave up their video games, sadly for real guns. They obviously haven't given up their Doritos though.

Bunch of milkhotdogs squished into fatigues.

There are apparently 3 militia groups there now.  Hundreds or possibly thousands of armed private citizens.  All amped up and angry and most likely all with little actual weapon experience.

The amount of photos circulating right now of people with high powered arms showing fingers on triggers is frightening

What could go wrong

Someone from the BBC mentioned that actually.  With that many people that angry in tat small space that armed it has all the makings of a potential mess if one person missteps.

Just watch this video, it's currently live but.....

Here's a better example.  Look at how they view their rights, look at how they handle their weapons.

It's scary

Exactly.

It's a good and mature move that the anti-gun protest organisers cancelled their event. No need to go down there and play chess with those pigeons.

People mentioning Antifa are violent and engaging in intimidation...but look at some of these guys.  They literally look like they're ready to rank you after putting down their call of duty session to be offended over minimal gun law changes

Yikes

Real shame. Randomly I was looking at some photography of Joshua Tree park yesterday thinking how I’d like go see it and take my kids along. How I used to go across the border all the time growing up.

but that country is not for me anymore.
