It has emerged that lawyers for disgraced mogul plan to use intimate emails between Weinstein and his alleged victims, to prove that they had consensual sexual relations with him. The move, reports the Associated Press, was disclosed by his defence on Tuesday. Lawyers will make their opening statements to a jury of seven men and five women today in a Manhattan courthouse. Attorney Damon Cheronis told Justice James Burke Tuesday that Weinstein’s side have “dozens and dozens and dozens of loving emails to Mr. Weinstein” that can be used against possible witnesses. Popular Post RUPERTKBD Posted January 22, 2020 Popular Post Share Posted January 22, 2020 I think the point that a few here seem to be missing is that several witnesses have already gone on record, stating that Weinstein demanded sexual favors in exchange for movie roles and some suffered career setbacks for refusing. The list includes some very high profile actresses, so the old "she's doing it for the money" routine doesn't wash. The guy is a certified scumbag and I for one, hope that he goes away for a long time.
