I didn't like Jake's game today. Not that he was that bad but seemed uninspired.

I would have liked Green to keep him up the line up for longer. He seemed to be getting his swagger.

He doesn't get points in 1 game, 1 game and he's back to the third line, fully agree.

It wasn't great from start to finish but we got a point. Losing in the SO is easier to stomach than regulation or OT.

Demko was really good. Pettersson came through like great players do. The 1st & 3rd we're much better than that atrocious 2nd. But Carolina is a good team, very aggressive. You gotta give them credit too.

I kinda figured this would be a tough one. Getting 1 point is good. Hopefully we can get 2 in Boston.

PP and D zone were/are  a mess.

TG is trying to stretch out the talent too thin. We have a few players who are defensive liabilities . He tried changing up the lines to over come this. The lines have been a mishmash lately. Bringing back Schaller did not help.

Yeah that makes up for everything doesn't it. When was the last one before that ? like 34-35 games ago? Give me a break. Motte was a much better option and he would be riding the pine if it was not for Motte's injury.

We won, and he scored can't ask too much more of a 4th liner wadr. And losing in a SO back to back on the road isn't on Schaller or the 4th line either.

Loved the effort this morning. Back to back early games...

3 out of the 4 possible points... Signs of an elite team if you ask me.

Big time effort by Demko to keep the boys in it. Too bad he couldn't make an extra stop on the shootout, but I'm sure he'll build from this positively.

Glad the boys get a day to rest up before the clash against the Bruins on Tuesday.

Biggest game of the year coming up.

Not really too concerned about wins or losses as much as I am concerned on how the team is playing and developing. The whole point was the changing up of the lines and stretching the talent. The players coming in and out of the line up(through mostly injuries) are not core players and are irrelevant anyway.

I said sorry to the easy woman,

It was rude of me to compare Myers to easy women, rude towards the easy women

Just perusing this thread, hoping the mods are reading this. Trashing Canucks players and being a troll is one thing but @Arrow 1983 has decided to turn this into a #metoo event. I thought we were better than this here.

If a coach wants to ruin a young player’s confidence there is no quicker way than to sit him the first sign of poor play.  Jake will go back to thinking about making mistakes again, instead of just playing naturally.  Our team is great, but IMO Green is not the coach to take us to a Cup.

Jake was playing pretty darn good before he moved onto that line. I think it was important that Boeser played a game on the top line. I like how he was getting shots off.

Having the ability to to move Jake up and down is a beautiful thing. I expect him up there again soon. I doubt he’s gonna pout about it

I don't like the fact that Jakes development is at the expense of Boesers. Players should earn their ice time and Jake has definitely done that. I think he's earned the right to play on the #1 PP too but TG refuses to change up a PP that is not doing very good. Why? The same reason?

If he doesn't want to demote Boes then he should be on Bo's line. Maybe he is not good enough defensively? Its not all adding up IMO.

I think it sends mixed messages to our young core.

I Agree 100% Jake has earned his ice time. I just seriously doubt that lines being switched on a back to back game has anything to do with his development.

If it weren’t for the patience and coaching over the last few years. Jake could be in the minors. With him breaking out this year I no reason to believe otherwise. Could have easily went the other way, that’s why I’m not questioning the development of Jake Virtanen.

The power play, it’s been a top 5 PP. I think it’s still 7th after this slump. Boys are gonna work through that. Also JV is essentially QB of the second unit which is scoring better then most 2nd units right now I bet. I believe 4 of the last PP goals were from that unit?

You gonna replace Hughes with him and put him on the top unit? Cause he’s essentially in Hughes spot on the second unit.

Funny how much we are winning. The breakout seasons some of these players are having but after a shootout loss there’s questions of development?
