That line needs to maintain offensive pressure and wear opponents down not get hemmed in their own zone. It’s a pretty ridiculous gimmick when you think about it. Imagine in basketball if each team chose their best free throw shooters and whoever got more in 5 minutes won? Or in football if each field goal kicker kicked field goals and whoever got the most won... The good thing is I think NHL GMs have almost had enough of it. SergioMomesso Posted February 2, 2020 Share Posted February 2, 2020 Good sign that the boys didn’t lose in reg or OT playing a mediocre game. They very well could have stopped skating the entire 2nd period and be down 2 or 3 going into the 3rd. Instead they buckled down and stayed in it through 65 mins on the second half of a matinee back to back. Very impressive. If only our PP could have buried one.
