and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. The World English Bible translates the passage as: You hypocrite! First, remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye.

Ohhhhhhh

now has see the light, wait there is still a twig in my eye

Might have to hit the sauce earlier than usual so I can pass out before puck drop and hope to wake up to a big W.

Tried this last game .... well it was a 10:30 start where I live but still - it didn't work.  Ha ha.

As the pressure ramped up over these last 20 games (and he now has the expectation to win) Green melted away.  He’s not tough enough.  He’s a softy.  I like the guy!  He’s seemingly a really nice guy.  He’s just in way over his head now.  After this season both JB and Green are gone.  Who’s out there we might get as a new GM?

Keenan.  Could be a two-for one

Lol how do you even view the Canucks as anything close to the avalanche? They have a franchise player in MacKinnon signed to a cap friendly contract.. they have another superstar in rantanen and a great player in landeskog.. and their defense is very good now lead by makar... and then they have another grade A byram waiting in the wing next year.. along with Timmons... on top of that theres still another 2 1st rounder forward on that team... us? Forward maybe a little worse but slightly comparable... after that it's a no contest lol we have hughes... and then a bunch of aged defenseman that'll likely be gone tanev stetcher.. then a bunch of defenseman that cant play D in benn and fantenberg... nothing in the farm that suggest we will have any great defenseman coming up.. maybe couple of good average one.. vancouver will be the new toronto real soon... great forwards goalie.. no defense..

Agreed. A few years back the Avs made playoffs and everyone thought they were on their way. Instead they slide backwards and many were calling for Sakic’s head. His team learned some lessons and he added to his depth and talent. Vancouver has a good way to go yet.

Other teams are winning

when Vancouver can't

leading the people of CDC

to yell loud and then rant.

Though all is close

and seems very scary

The other teams in the west

better start to be wary

The players are hungry

their food is the puck

their play will be reliable

like an old pick up truck

When all seems lost

like were all stuck in the mud

the players will pull through

the other team will be a dud

When 16 games are done

there will be no rest

16 more games to go

for them to finish their quest

Even if they fail

well at least they try

we will all be Canucks

until the day that we die.

I'm going to stop watching for how well Vegas, Calgary, and Edmonton are doing and instead focus on Winnipeg, Arizona, and Nashville. Just get in. I don't care if we're swept. Just get in.

Big bounceback win tonight 3-2 in OT with a dramatic finish from Miller.

Too streaky to make the playoffs? The Canucks are in the midst of their 5th losing streak of 3 games or more this season. They've had 3 winning streaks of 3 or more. The 14-3-1 record between Dec. 19 and Feb. 2 saved the Canucks season, 20-23-5 in the other 48 games (76pt pace). Just 2 additional losses during that run (12-5-1 is still an awesome run) then the Canucks would be tied with the Hawks in 12th. Consistency is usually an issue with young players/teams so these #'s aren't surprising but definitely something to keep an eye on.

Are we really a young team though?  Petey and Hughes are clearly young.  Who else is young?  Jake’s in his fourth year, right?  Bo is in his fifth?  Stecher is in his fourth?  IMO we are not young at all.  We have a lot of experienced players.  Edler, Tanev, Myers, Benn, Fanta, Miller, Pearson, Tofu, Sutter, Rooster, Beagle, Loui.  We are actually kind of old, when looking at our veterans.  Either our team is just not good, or our coaching is holding us back.

I still consider Bo, Jake, Brock, JT, Stecher young in addition to EP, Hughes, Gaudette and Demko. That's most of the top players (core) expected to take this team to the next level. "Young" is also a nod to the fact that 12 players have been on the team 2 seasons or less so the lack of chemistry goes hand in hand with a lack of consistency.

By hockey standards only Petey, Gaud, and Hughes are young, or lack experience.   We are actually a very experienced team, and have a lot of older players, who play key roles.

Hockey standards? That's hilarious....please...point me to the age section of the big book of hockey standards.
