I said after last game I would take a break from the canucks.

But here I am again back for this sick addiction I've developed since childhood.

Just &^@#ing win boys ....

Is this what it's like to be addicted to crack?

Not a 'Must Win' at all.

The Canucks could lose tonight and would still control their own destiny in regards to a playoff spot.  It's just that each loss reduces the margin of error.

I feel like the Canucks might lose this one before turning things around on Sunday.

Why bother let’s lose another 4 then win out

they now need to win 3 out of every 4 to make it

You think JB gets to hire a third coach?  Has any other GM got to do that?

Tambellini comes to mind.

I think he went through four coaches in Edmonton between 2008-13.

I think David Poile got to have three coaches twice, in both Washington and Nashville. But he’s David MF Poile.

I actually want to see Green try to spread the scoring around by separating EP and Miller. They haven't been great together the last few games.

Gaudette-Miller-Toffoli

Roussel-EP-Virtanen

Pearson-Horvat-MacEwen

Motte-Sutter-Eriksson

Miller can play center.

Roussel and Virtanen can apply pressure via forecheck and EP can make plays.

Forward depth is one of our strengths, the opposition now has 3 lines that they have to contend with rather than 2 lines.

EP's line would never have the puck, you have to be able to win a faceoff.  That's why Miller is there.

This is the thing.  If miller isn’t on the ice there is no forecheck.

we play dump and chase and then flyby in to offzone.

there isn’t a dman in the league that fears our forecheck.

Hey now

nobody Else can dish out the gentle push forecheck system we run

really?

loser

the nucks currently hold the 1st wild card spot

with 2 games in hand on others

they can still take back 3rd place from calgary

they are actually in a winning position still

yet you wish for them to fold their tent

have you ever battled in a difficult situation ?

and you just fold?? really ?

i think this team still will work it out

i support them

and will continue to

Have you seen our coaching staff??

Lol how do you even view the Canucks as anything close to the avalanche? They have a franchise player in MacKinnon signed to a cap friendly contract.. they have another superstar in rantanen and a great player in landeskog.. and their defense is very good now lead by makar... and then they have another grade A byram waiting in the wing next year.. along with Timmons... on top of that theres still another 2 1st rounder forward on that team... us? Forward maybe a little worse but slightly comparable... after that it's a no contest lol we have hughes... and then a bunch of aged defenseman that'll likely be gone tanev stetcher.. then a bunch of defenseman that cant play D in benn and fantenberg... nothing in the farm that suggest we will have any great defenseman coming up.. maybe couple of good average one.. vancouver will be the new toronto real soon... great forwards goalie.. no defense..

Not close, just on the same arc.  I think in three years time this team will be good enough to contend for real and not just for the final playoff spot.  While I agree their D prospects aren't as deep as we would like I think there is enough talent and/or assets in the pool that we have the ingredients for a damn good team.

Maybe I'm just more optimistic than you?
