Bottom line

three years as a coach with no playoffs in a results oriented game ...he is a goner in the post season

the fact that we had a monumental collapse will only seal Green’s fate

he will be gone and the Green Kool Aid drinking fans won’t be able to do a thing about it

Not sure how you could view the Canucks roster the 2 years previous to this one as a playoff roster.. they had pouliot Gudbranson del zotto goldobin Nilsson leipsic all playing. You can argue that this is the first year he’s had a roster capable of making the playoffs and they still can.

The most interesting thing about this season then last season is this,

This offseason Benning went out to make the defence better and some how got far worse

Last season Hutton was a defensive liability so they let him walk

Stetcher played well last season and they play him less

They pick up Myers and he is terrible defensively, I would even say worse then Hutton

We pick up Benn who had great advance stat numbers the last few season, Benning even called him an advance stat darling ok maybe not darling but something like that

This year he plays with Myers and he cant seem to find his game

I personally believe having Benn and Hutton as the third line pair would have been better, far cheap at least

Put Benn and Fantenberg as the third pairing and I would bet, that pairing would become one heck of a shut down pair

Remember as well last season they went long stretches without Tanev and Edler this season they have barely missed a game.

Put Tanev and Edler back together

Yes that means Hughes and Stetcher as a pair start them with as many offensive starts as possible

Then everyone can watch this team coast into the playoffs, even win a round or 2

Willie did better with a worse roster than Green did in his first years so how can you make that argument

look what Tippet did in Arizona?

a good coach works with what he has

and now even with the roster we have, he is still going to have us on the outside looking in

meanwhile Tippet and DeBoer’s Teams keep racking up points

Sad thing, I’m not convinced Green will be gone if we miss the playoffs, irregardless, if we miss or get in by one game does that make him worthy/ not worthy of keeping? He should have been gone a long time ago, the damage has been done.

Arizona missed the playoffs 5 years straight under Tippett.. Vegas has a vastly superior roster to canucks. Not sure what you’re trying to get at with this.

What did Arizona have for talent? A broke team that spent nowhere near the cap yet was competitive energy night

we are the other hand will not be making the playoffs for 3 straight years under Green amd die sing to the cap in all 3 years

sad I need to silence it out for you

face it, the damage has been done for yet another year and Green’s time is coming to an end
