How are you passing time during the coronavirus outbreak?

Figured we could use a less serious and more fun thread separate from the main thread to share ways to pass time while we're all self-isolating/social distancing during the coronavirus outbreak.

I just finished watching an F1 sim race that featured some past and present F1 drivers, as well as a Real Madrid goalkeeper (who actually finished 11th out of 20):

Figure I'll also be spending more time taking walks/runs outside in places that don't have too many people. What are you guys up to?

well, since I probably had my last ski of the season this morning - they are closing Cypress Mtn after today :sadno: - probably watch re-runs of kids in the hall on youtube.

I might also get into making beer at home. Seems like a good post-apocalypse thing to pick up.

I`ve been home isolating the last few days. Only been out in my backyard or to the park down the street with my dog. Seems pretty scarce out there. Is it just my imagination? Inside, it`s been boring AF without hockey, or any sports really (except golf). Been playing RainbowSix on my PS4, when I`m not being flooded with COVID-19 news, making me more paranoid and fearful. At least the weather has been good.

My weekend so far

Going to less crowded places (went for walk in the morning in the park, beautiful out and talking extra wide turns around people who cough)

Music, media, reading, naps...

Met up with a friend last night in a restaurant with just a few people in it

Trying to avoid the news... "oh goodness the news is on again"... back to tune-out mode

Playing games online with friends

Secretly hoping work closes down and that we get paid for it...

Probably should include home workouts in the near future in case we really can't go out

Haven’t changed a thing, and won’t.  Still running over toes downtown, and drinking scotch.  People are dumb.  If you’re healthy, this virus will not harm you.

You need over 60% for it to work as a disinfectant.  Make sure the wife picks up cask strength next time.

not true alf

it is a new strain

we have no immunty against it

no one does

responses will be individual

no one knows how they personally will handle this virus

most will be fine, true

but it is a bit risky to generalize like you wish to

This virus culls the sickly, especially elderly with respiratory illness.  The vast majority of people don’t even know they’re infected, because their symptoms are so mild.  It’s natures way to cull.  We will build up a herd immunity, and be stronger for it.

so you are a boris johnson supporter?

he is a bit of a loose cannon on this issue

not a very sound position to be taking medically

maybe we should let all disease

cull the herd ?

forget about the benefits of modern medicine?
