ruilin96
I read books and watch old shows. During the hockey season, I don't read and watch shows as much as I would, so this is just a time for me to catch up. Scottish⑦Canuck
I'm lucky enough to live with this view and a nature reserve right on my doorstep, so a lot of walking (once a day obviously keeping my distance from others). Also been using VR to exercise in the house... BoxVR is surprisingly good. Lost 6 pounds since the lockdown started. 1

I'm imagining we are on an elevated tee box, I think I can see the flag. I'm going with the hybrid, I don't want to over shoot the green and hit one of those nice white buildings. Is this a par 4? What a nice view. I'm really missing golf now.
bishopshodan
I just got the lawn tractor going. I was told it was dead by two different guys that know their way around motors. They couldn't figure it out, told me it was just old. I almost gave it away. I don't know anything about engines but I have a google machine and time on my hands. Charged the battery, checked the plugs, gave it oil and gas..nothing. Watched some videos, about to give up then I discovered that the blade lock thingy was malfunctioning. Mr you tube says the blades need to be dis-engaged before starting. So I did a couple tweaks.....sputter, sputter....vaaarrooom! Honey, I'm mowing the lawn tomorrow. Small victories. 1

Seems like a lost art now.

bishopshodan
Saw a grey whale yesterday, I think it was scratching barnacles off on the rocks. Was soo cool, huge animal swimming back and forth. Saw it come up about 20 times, as close as 10 feet away. To keep with the animal theme, and not soo cool. Wife and I are pretty sure we heard a cougar behind the car port. It sounded to be attacking something but I don't see any damage today. Freaked us out, we have a lot of deer on the property but usually don't get any predators. Keeping working too, ripped down our old deck in the last two days. Framing starts tomorrow and we hope to have it done within a week. Very excited. Should have got a vid of the whale you say? well, I tried and thought I got some good footage. I screwed up and got pretty much squat. But here, I'll post what did save. Don't blink, looks like the Kraken going back under... VID_20200422_184700.mp4 Edit: Here, a pro that knows how to take pictures.... https://vancouverisland.ctvnews.ca/video?clipId=1946553 Edited April 25, 2020 by bishopshodan

You may not have lost. I have a tendency to forget what I say when I'm drunk. Truth be told given my new job as a teacher I'm pretty pro union now and I want a raise.

Phil_314
Is anyone trying to learn new things, and if so how is that going? Been looking into coding and learning social media but not sure which way (if either) is fitting. Any similar stories/ advice?
