Always liked Versteeg.  Solid hockey player, great work ethic, and a very entertaining character.

I have a feeling he ends up working for Blackhawks organization in one way or another.  Either in scouting, player development like Brian Campbell, or he joins Sharp, Jamal Mayers, and Adam Burish on the pre-game show.  Just seems like he's been lingering around the organization for so long that Rocky finds a job for him.

Guy was a mid round pick which usually means a long shot to do much at the NHL level. He carved out a decent career, raised the Cup and has millions in the bank to live off of for the rest of his life.

Enjoy your retirement life $$$$

Honestly didn't even know he was still playing. Heck of a career.

He only played a short bit last season with the Rockford Icehogs. He got injured early, was on the shelf for about a month, and then called it quits shortly after returning.  He said he realized he couldn't match the fire and intensity of the younger players anymore and felt bad taking ice time from them.  So he asked out of his contract.

He finished the year in Slovakia...Sweden maybe, can't remember...somewhere in Europe where his brother was playing.

Burrows?

True, but I should've said that I meant in more of a depth role.  Burrows was top 6 or top line for most of the prime of his career, whereas Kris provided quality depth to Hawks teams on 3rd lines.  Reminds me of what we had from Higgins in past years, and hopefully Jake can have the same kind of impact
