BPA Posted June 2, 2020 Share Posted June 2, 2020 Reading biking forums, they all suggest getting 2 locks as bike thieves carry angle grinders and bolt cutters in their backpacks. Expensive options for bike locks ($100+) are: Kryptonite New-U New York Fahgettaboudit Mini Heavy Duty Bicycle U Lock Bike Lock Kryptonite New York Noose 1275 Chain Bicycle Lock with Evolution Series 4 Disc Lock Chain Bicycle Lock, 2-Foot x 4-Inch Those 2 locks will make it extremely difficult to cut through with an angle grinder. Planning on picking up one of those to pair with my cheaper Kryptonite U-lock. No where is really safe to lock a bike in public. But best bet is next to other bikes with easier locks to cut through.
