Popular Post Nail
2025 DRAFT TIDBITS PART 1 Nolan Parker (C) Known for his love of anime, Parker is one of the top prospects in this year's draft. A big 6'2 205 lbs playmaking forward, Parker is off to a hot start with Erie in the OHL. Through 14 games, Parker has 4 goals and 20 points to go with a 8.07 AVR. As Parker progresses over the next couple years, he needs to work on improving his defensive game as well as his shot. There are also some concerns about Parker's character, as he is known to have a raging temper. Some teams love this fiery attitude, and a dominant player like Parker won't have to wait long to hear his name called. Salim Kane (C) A 6'6 218 lbs center two-way forward, formally known as "Salman Kane", Salim is currently in his second year with the Saskatoon Blades in the WHL. Through 15 games this year, Kane has 3 goals and 15 points. For his size, Kane is an excellent skater but could still work on improving his top end speed, as well as gaining strength to match him up with the big boys in the NHL. At his peak, Kane looks like he could be a menacing force at both ends of the ice. A big red flag with Kane is that there are reports he has bullied and abused previous draft picks Robert J. Long, Jimmy McGill and Seb Wild at previous World Junior camps. The three have filed a lawsuit against Kane and he will be scheduled to appear in court later this year. Could these off ice issues push Kane out of the draft completely? Viktor Vrana (RW) Another player who has had a name change in the previous years, Vrana was previously known as Viktor Trana. Vrana is a goal scoring winger who is currently splitting time between the SHL and J20 league for Leksands. In 6 J20 games, Vrana has 4 goals and 7 points, and in 3 SHL games, Vrana has 1 goal and 3 points. Vrana projects as a high offensive player, and may have some of the best offensive attributes in this draft. However, the issue is with the rest of his game. Vrana's game is very one-dimensional and he lacks any sort of defensive game. Cole Samson (RD) A massive 6'4 213 lbs stay at home defenceman for Acadie-Bathurst in the QMJHL, Samson also makes his return to RGMG. Samson is everything that you would expect from a stay at home guy. He hits hard, blocks shots, takes away pucks but doesn't produce much offense. In his rookie season thus far, Samson has 7 points in 17 games but more importantly has 62 hits, 12 takeaways (to go against 6 giveaways) and 27 shots blocked. Defensively, Samson is undoubtedly the best player in this draft however the lack of offense could turn him from a top pairing guy to a bottom pairing guy really quick. Vladimir Bure (RW) The final legend that will be in this draft class, Bure is the great grandson of former NHLer Pavel. Unlike his great grandfather, Bure doesn't have the same wheels that Pavel did, in fact skating is one of Vladimir's weaknesses. However, he definitely got some of Pavel's offensive ability. The 6'3 goal scoring winger has high end offensive skills but also has some concerns about the lack of defense in his game. So far this year, Bure has yet to suit up for a game for Ermak, and it remains to be seen if a lack of playing time will affect his development as he heads into his all important draft year. Go Faulk Yourself
Pretty impressed by the Blue Jackets so far this season. Didn't expect to start seeing any upward trend yet and with a lot of solid prospects still yet to get their chance there might finally be hope for the Blue Jackets in a season or two...
Popular Post AV.
Pretty distressed by the Wild so far this season. Didn't expect to start seeing any downward trend again and with a lot of $&!#ty players still yet to get their first win there might finally be a reason to end it all for the Wild in a season or two... 2 3

Didn't think I'd have to pay close attention this these for this year, but with how badly Dallas has started off the year, I've read every word!
