Master Mind
Happy to see Holtby an all star captain. Although, since he's on pace to play 70 or so games, he's probably better off resting... 1

Popular Post Nail
2024 DRAFT TIDBITS PART 4 Yuto Kuroiwa (C/RW) Currently ranked 170th in the Mid-Season rankings, teams are unsure whether Kuroiwa will slip into the top 165 to make it into RGMG Draft Eligibility, but boy what a story that would be. Kuroiwa is a 6'5 207 lbs Japanese playmaking forward who is currently playing for a midget team in Buffalo. Through 26 games, Kuroiwa has 20 goals and 47 points with an 8.77 AVR. Obviously this is against inferior competition, however we have never seen a Japanese prospect put up these type of numbers at a higher level. Kuroiwa will have to play at higher competition next year, with the WHL's Swift Current Broncos an option. Kyle Marcou (C) Another centerman playing midget hockey in his draft year, Marcou has put up 22 goals and 55 points in 33 games for an 8.15 AVR with his midget team in Quebec. The American native is hoping to play college hockey next season, however he may end up in the AHL with his newly drafted team. The playmaking forward has good size at 6'2, and is a very good skater. He is defined as a very raw prospect, someone who will need some years of seasoning after he is drafted before he can be considered for an NHL role. Kasper Laudrup (LD/RD) Currently playing for a U18 team in Denmark, Laudrup has drawn some interest from the KHL as it looks like he may make the jump directly there after this season. The pointman defenceman has put up 18 goals and 35 points in 20 games this year, showing he is clearly ready for another step. At 6'2 and 211 lbs, Laudrup has pro size, and has a very good shot already at the age of 17. There are some concerns as to how his defensive game will hold up at the next level, however those concerns can't be made official until he plays at that next step. Sean Myer (RD) After playing his high school hockey in Minnesota, Myer has stepped into the Ohio Junior Blue Jackets program where he's put up 15 goals and 50 points in 35 games thus far. Myer is another one of those prospects who will likely step directly into the AHL next season if he is unable to secure a college commitment. At 6'4 and 216 lbs, Myer is a hulking presence on the ice and already has both an offensive and defensive game that scouts are excited about. Many feel he'll have a smoother transition to pro hockey than most, and Myer is definitely a player who could be a big leaguer one day. Jake Currie (RW/C) The oddman out on this list, Currie plays for the Saskatoon Blades in the WHL so there are no concerns about quality of competition. At 6'4 and 238 lbs, Currie is a massive presence on the ice. This year, his second in the WHL, Currie has put up 22 goals and 43 points through 50 games. To go along with a 7.74 AVR, the two-way forward who prides himself on a 200 foot game has shown that he can both produce offense and shutdown opponents. If there is one concern about Currie, many feel he doesn't go to the dirty areas often enough and if he is able to do this, it will help his game so much more. 8 2
