Cup or bust for Capt. Bo Horvat and the Senators this year after trading away yet another 1st rounder in a deal that brought home the ICON... The Markstromian Wall. The move has paid early dividends and has the team close to a 3rd seed in the division.

BREAKING NEWS:
Here is CNN's Anderson Cooper's take on the Senators...  not sure why he's reporting on hockey but here's what he thinks anyways! Anderson believes the Sens will go on another deep run this post season.

Studs likely to win cup:

  • Tanner Pearson: Best sniper on the team - 10/10 beaut. What is Hoffman anyways?
  • JG Pageau: Good Ottawa boy. Him and Burr were incredible to watch on that epic 2017 Ottawa run... they were ahead in the series with Crapsburgh until they injured Burr... that changed the series. With Burr it woulda be Ottawa in 5 or 6
  • Capt. Bo Billionz: His biggest flaw is that he's a little too good looking.
  • Jake "The Snake" Virtanen: Good BC boy... do I need any other reason?!
  • Nick "Big Game" Bonino: Robbed of Conn Smythe in 2016... had way better +/- than Crosby... there should be a statue of Nick in Pittsburgh somewhere.
  • Edler Myers Stecher... The Trio of Doom!
  • The Markstromian Wall: Same as Bo, way too good looking. Should tone it down! :(

Duds: (still likely to win cup based on stud #'s on team)

  • Mike Hoffman: Learned how to be a good sniper from good old TP70
  • Mark Stone: Aspires to be good like Horvat
  • Granlund: Good at losing to canucks in playoff qualifiers - oh nvm he got traded to Nashville... I have no other comment for him I guess
  • Johnny Hockey: Good at being in a division with 2020 Cup Champs, Vancouver Canucks
  • Nazem Kadri: Counts his blessing colorado isnt in Canucks division anymore...
  • Karlsson, Skjei, Scandella: FInally relevant thanks to Edler Myers and Troy

Dallas Stars have decided to save their energy for the playoffs next year.  The youth movement is nearly complete, and we are seeing veteran spots taken by youth or players in their prime.  We are currently on a decent run to finish the year and building confidence for next year.
