From a Philadelphia perspective, worth every

Minute.  Gallagher was Montreal's  best.player and game driver.  How the league can defend this weak ass suspension  for a deliberate, predatory hit to the face of a player defies all logic.

I wonder what the ruling would have been if it had been Oulette on Coutourier

Broken jaw, needs surgery...entire panel agrees it's far too light a suspension.

Anyone that watched the play and isn't a Philly supporter thinks it's too light. Niskanen has a history of hacking folks up with his stick. League cracks down on holding penalties but they let way too much stick work go. Cross checking in particular needs to be looked at more for penalties. Every team in the league has players working folks over with cross checks. But it's considered part of the game to an extent. Take a glove off the stick and kinda grab a guy is an instant 2 minute penalty regardless of how egregious the hold is. There's a disconnect there for me. Crack down on cross check penalties we'll see a decline in players like Niskanen taking advantage of the leniency on cross checks.
