I don't create posts often but this has been on my mind for a couple weeks. Domingue has played 1 game in a canucks uniform, although a shaky ending to that game the guy looked pretty solid. My point here though is that this guy is clearly deeply missing his family (follow him on instagram) and is probably not going to suit up at all while he is away from them (hopefully)...

At first I thought why doesn't he just opt out like Tukka and leave the bubble? The reason he deserves credit is he is fulfilling his contract. God forbid we need him, even to just sit on the bench the guy is ready and willing to go. He doesn't owe this team anything but yet he stays and supports us on this run.

Should Markstrom and Demko depart from Vancouver this summer, Domingue deserves a look at the back up role purely for the level of professionalism he's showing to the team right now.

He is hoping to land a backup role in the NHL he doesn't have much choice but to show some commitment.

Isn’t that the point of this thread?  The guy clearly wants a job and is willing to support his team in any way to try and get it. His contract does not stipulate that he has to live in a bubble away from his family. While it would be a terrible career move to opt out the OP has a valid point in that he is showing loyalty. I don’t thing Domingue is much more than a career backup I agree that a solid thank you from the Canucks is in order.

Thank you LD for being locked into downtown Edmonton for weeks. Does that officially count as prison time?

Yup, and he should be granted at least 3 for 1 in terms of time served.

I was so glad to have Domingue last year when Marky was injured and we needed someone to replace Demko.

If we need to move Demko this offseason I could see a deal inked with LD for the backup job and for expansion requirements.

I think he is trying to show he is a team guy and I think he has to do that.. If he expects to even get an offer. That is my point he doesn't have much choice if he wants a shot at The NHL again. Rask can be banging prostitutes and still get an NHL contract.

It's amazing to me that athletes consider any of those ingredients food.

Fatten up Markstrom to give him more mass and make him tougher to beat #partoftheplan
Keep it away from Virtanen though

Eggs and sugar are very good for athletics. The rest is garbage.

Edit: Sugars are great, maybe not in that form though.

Agreed on the eggs.

I'm just being a nitpick and a grump. it's a nice gesture and everyone should be able to have a cookie.

Will he get his name on the Stanley Cup when we win it?  Or does he have to dress for at least one game, as back up?
